dakota blinked his eyes. â how big do you think my suitcases are? â it was a nice sentiment and maybe dakota should have invited georgia out but he just never thought about it with the hustle and bustle of tour. bouncing from one place to the other â he was busy. maybe that sounded bad but it was the truth. â i promise the next time i go on tour, iâll fly you out, okay? at least to one of the cities. â
âbigger than mine. but also, we are both quite tiny so i donât think itâd be impossible.â georgia chuckled at the thought. she may joke and be dramatic about her friends going away and leaving her in this small town, but she was genuinely happy for them. she loved seeing them be able to do what they love to do, and if that meant seeing for short periods when theyâre home between tours then so be it. sheâll soak up all the time she can with them and them happily see them off when they go back on tour. âthat would be nice. we both know that iâd be your biggest and loudest groupie.â as she flashed him a big grin, georgia playfully winked at her friend.
decdafâ:
â well, in my defense itâs cheap. â that was what it mostly came down to although the diner had the tendency to try and push new items that ended up being just as bad as the old ones. â how could i forget that? â colby asked, blinking her eyes a little before amusement touched her features. â yeah, yeah, i know. but again, itâs cheap food. iâm not looking to spend twenty-bucks on a burger and fries. â
âyeah, donât i know it.â georgia let out of quiet sigh, not really wanting to dwell on that fact too long. she looked away from her best friend to now look at her milkshake, stirring the straw around in circles. would she love to not have to count pennies? absolutely, but thatâs not the way things were. âdid you see that dakota and mikah are back in town?â she asked, trying to change the subject.Â
You made it bitch. You even stretched and retweeted an @anthonyhopkins video he posted of himself
decdafâ:
mikah took in a deep breath and slowly let it out. â maybe. â they werenât going to put it past cooper but they believed him. they at least believed that he actually loved them. they werenât so sure if they could trust him. â or, he actually meant it. â they werenât expecting georgia to jump for joy over this. they knew that it was a big deal. â iâm not saying i trust him or that weâre even back together but i donât think heâs lying to me when he says that he loves me and not everyone can find their brixton, georgia. â
âi refuse to believe that.â she shook her head, she might be a hopeless romantic in a great relationship but that doesnât mean that she didnât make a few mistakes and get her heart broken before he came into the picture. âbut if thatâs what you believe, why does that also mean you have to settle for less than what you deserve? you can love someone and still let them go, mikah.â she ran a hand through her hair, sighing as she looked around them. it was hard to see her friends go through shitty and tough situations, and to not be able to just fix it immediately so they would all be happy. if she could do that she would in a heartbeat. but she canât. âi just want you to be happy, but i also donât think that youâll ever be happy with cooper if you canât trust him.â her focus found its way back to them, trying her hardest not to look too judgmental.Â
decdafâ:
mikah was bracing themselves because they could practically hear what georgia was going to say before they even dropped the bomb. â before i tell you this, i want you to remember that iâm youâre friend and you love me. â mikah took in a deep breath before letting it out, â i may or may not have slept with cooper last night. and by may or may not i mean i totally did and before you go offâŠhe seemedâŠapologetic. i mean he cried. iâve never seen him cry. i donât even think he teared up when i broke up with him. â
as georgia listened, she pressed her lips together to keep from interrupting them. she didnât like to see them hurt, they were family to her, so when they hurt, she hurt. âyouâre right, i am your friend and i love you. and so i just want you to remember that because as your friend who loves you, i wonât lie to you. ever.â georgia stated, trying her best to keep her features soft. âwhat he did to you was rotten; he knows that. people manipulate in the most convincing ways to get what they want. he didnât cry when you broke up with him because he knew he could convince you to go back to him!â she exclaimed, clearly throwing the idea of staying calm out the window at this point.Â
decdafâ:
â hey, iâm not going to argue with that, â mikah spoke, raising their hands in a sense of surrender before dropping them. â hey, consider it already forgotten. â they rubbed their lips together rocking back on their heels, â so i made have made an oops. a big oops actually and i donât know how i feel about it. â
she gave them an appreciative look, the small smile tugging on her lips as she picked up her drink and took a sip. though she almost chocked on it, nothing ever good came from mikah saying the words âbig oopsâ. she immediately went into worried and concerned friend mode. her features showing it. âwhat happened? tell me everything.â
decdafâ:
â yeah, but i wish you didnât. â but that was the way the world was and brixton knew what kind of creeps hung around the diner so it was bound that someone was going to get handsy but brixton wasnât going to overstep boundaries. he knew that georgia could handle herself. â shall we continue enjoying our night? â
georgia loved that brixton was protective, it was one of the things that drew her to him. she couldnât help but wrap her arm around his waist and lean into him. âiâd love to continue enjoying our night.â she smiled brightly up at him. âdo you want to get out of here? we can do see a movie, or go bowling. we havenât done that in a while. Oh, i know, lets get matching tattoos.â okay so she didnât really want to get matching tattoos. georgia could never be serious for too long.

â damn, â brixton breathed out. sure, the protector in him wanted to step it but it was quite clear from where he was standing that georgia had this handled and he was sure the guy would think twice next time before groping another woman again. â couldnât have gotten the point across better myself. â
georgia let out a deep breathe as she turned back to her boyfriend. while she did have a very strong and very protective detective next to her, she has always been one to try and fight her battles herself. âIâm sure you could have, babe.â she grinned as she looked up at him. âunfortunately though, i deal with creeps like that a lot so iâve learned how to handle them myself.â
decdafâ:
mikah blinked their eyes a few times as georgiaâs attention was turned elsewhere, face scrunching up when she kneed the guy. â ouch. i mean he definitely deserved that but still ouch. â the guy definitely deserved it and he was in no way scolding georgia for her reaction.
âyouâre right, he deserved it. the only man allowed to touch me is my man.â she stated matter of factly, her hands smoothed over her dress. âi canât tell you how many guys, while iâm working, take me being nice because itâs my job, as an invitation to be handsy.â she sighed, shaking her head in annoyance. âthis is not how i wanted our night out together to go. can we just ignore it happened?âÂ
âhey!â georgia exclaimed after she felt a hand grope her ass. she had no clue why some men thought that was in anyway appropriate to do to a strange, or maybe they were so fucked up and thought it was a turn on for women but she quickly turned around and glared at the idiot. âkeep you filthy hands to yourself.â and with that, she kneed him right where it would hurt the most.  @bellyachestartâ

â how many years in this town and youâd think iâd learn that the diner food always sucks. â which was really no secret but it was one of the cheapest places to get something to eat which was why colby found herself seated in a booth. at least they had good milkshakes and desserts. she was sure that was about the only thing saving this place.
âyouâd think the fact that we work here would help us learn the foodâs a disaster... but alas, we fall for it every time.â georgia let out a laugh as she moved to lean against the wall, and stretching her legs out on the booths seat. âpeople donât come here for the food, baby, they come here for our sparking personalities, and short skirted outfit.â she chuckled, glancing over to her best friend before taking a sip of her chocolate milkshake.Â
decdafâ:
dakota couldnât help but chuckle at that as he leaned back in his chair. â abandoned you? what did you want me to do? pack you up in my suitcase and hope no one noticed? â he cocked his head to the side. â that would have gone over well. i go on tour and i come backâŠ.usually. on occasion. not very often but that isnât the point. â
âyes. that sounds like a perfect plan to me!!â and just like that, her mock pout was replaced by a wide grin. georgia has been stuck in this town her whole life, and she wouldnât truly admit it but she had two friends that would leave and travel doing what they love, and she was jealous of that, incredibly happy for them, but also jealous. âalthough, if youâre going to pack me up, youâre going to have to make room for colby too cause iâm lot leaving her.â
