Raspberry French 75 !

Ingredients

1 ounce of gin

½ lemon, juiced

1 tablespoon of raspberry simple syrup (*recipe below)

3-4 ounces of champagne

½ cup of ice

*Raspberry Simple Syrup:Ingredients:

½ cup of raspberries

1 cup of sugar

Garnish: Raspberries

Instructions:

Add gin, lemon juice, rasphberry simple syrup, and ice to cocktail shaker

Shake mixture then strain into champagne flute

Top with champagne

Serves: 1

 Instructions:

In a saucepan combine sugar and raspberries

Let it boil for until sugar dissolves

Strain mixture and let it cool

Extra syrup may be stored in a glass container for up to a week

I was commissioned to make a bunch of Pokemon desserts for the team at Framestore working on the Detective Pikachu movie!

In total, I made 40+ Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu and Jigglypuff cookies, and nearly 2 dozen Aipom tie-dye cupcakes! (My partner made the Aipom chocolates!)

This was easily the most desserts I have ever made in one go, and it was really challenging and fun! My oven was awaiting repairs for most of the week I was working on these, which was a pain to work around, but I’m so proud of the results!

Did y’all know that February 11th is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science? To celebrate, I decided to wrap up this portrait of Ada Lovelace – writer, mathematician, and mother of modern-day computing. Given my own professional background, I have long-admired this incredible woman and I’m so glad to be able to pay tribute to her today of all days.

*Yup, her dad was Lord Byron.
