I could be doing better… I’ve been involved in a lot of drama recently and me winning the title doesn’t exactly drown out the stress. But hopefully I get better soon. What about you? Doing better than me, I hope?

Jay sat down right across from April and he just watched her for a moment.

"It’s only dinner, but a lot can happen in that short time" Jay told himself.

His cup of water in his hands he couldn’t stop smiling at her. Though he told himself it was because she had only…

"How about we do this, if you can. I will give you my answer after dinner, but for now I want you to put all your troubles behind you and enjoy this."

Christian smiled, but he was still wondering how this was going to go. He knew April was slightly impatient but he wanted to test the water. Christian liked her, but he didn’t want to say no when he wanted to say yes. Though he knew he would have his answer at the end of the night he was just hoping that AJ could wait till then.

AJ bit her lip and nodded

"Okie dokie I’m completely fine with that but uhm what should we talk about like y’know while waiting?" AJ said whilst picking up the utensil knife on her side of the table and playing around with it, she had the affinity to play around with small things or things that was easily in her reach when she was nervous and she was.

AJ couldn’t deny that, she wouldn’t want to ruin this moment with her awkwardness and or rambling so she tried her best not trailing off being that this was important to her on a lot of levels and not just the basic friendly kind.

"I mean we can just talk about ourselves, our job. Just like a casual conversation. There’s no need to be nervous."

"Wait, you can hear my tone? gosh I should really calm down." She said letting go of the knife for a second before picking it up again "Sorry about that, I’m just really terrible awkward." She said giving him a smile "I guess uhm, how about we play 10 questions? except questions about uh, things we want to know about each other that we don’t know if that isn’t a bit confusing." She said trying to not ramble and confuse him.

"I have no problem with that. So I guess I will go first." Christian grinned childishly.

"I’m lame. I was going to ask you about pets, but I’m thinking about your favorite villain? Mine is scarecrow."

Christian drew his mouth into a tight line. That was not the best question to ask and he didn’t want to look like a child asking questions about superheroes and villains. Though it was too late to change it.

She casually dropped that “10 questions”  line designed to get to know him more; she didn’t really want to give off the impression that she doesn’t care especially because this was important she didn’t want this to just be a one night thing.

AJ smiled at the question she asked him, though it was pretty obvious she was a huge comic book reader. "This might sound super cheesy but Joker is one of favorites when it comes to villains It’d be great if I could like find someone to be the joker to my Harley Quinn…" She said pausing thinking about what she just said "…For Halloween I mean-" She said rolling her eyes at what she just said, gee she was terrible at excuses.

AJ glanced at him for a second noticing his expression “Don’t worry I didn’t think your question was stupid.” She said giving him a sincere smile and thinking briefly of what she should ask him.

"What’s your favorite video game?" AJ said starting her questions with something easy and not too serious so he wouldn’t feel pressured because of the questions and possibly warm him up for a bit serious ones.

"Hey, I can totally join you in dressing up, but I don’t think I can rock the green hair, but I will definitely try my best for you." Christian grinned. Slightly scrunching up his face as he smiled. 

"I don’t always play video games, but when I do I make sure they are extra terrifying, and then after my moment of being a little daring, I try to calm down with some, Nintendo Dogs. As of right now, I have a little red dachshund named Rosie, and she is a 9 time champion."

"Well I probably can’t rock the blonde hair either so we’re even." She said quite bluntly, well in all honesty she probably can’t only Kaitlyn can do that or Layla she wasn’t really like either of them but sometimes she wish she was.

"Rosie sounds adorable, I’m actually replaying Catz again on my nintendo…I think my current cat’s name is…" She said pausing remembering what she named the virtual cat on her gameboy "Gosh I completely forgot I accidentally named him Jay…" She said facepalming good gosh was this embarrassing "I swear that was just a coincidence…" She muttered under her breath still embarrassed.

"Well as long as he is the most handsome out of all the cats I have no problem with it." Christian smirked.

AJ shook her head her palm still on her forehead "Well he's a munchkin cat so he's pretty cute though I'm not sure if he's handsome since I don't know much about cats." She said shrugging as she noticed the waiter arrive with food

"Oh yey it's here!" She said clapping her hands and smilling for a second or two as the waiter setted the food and such on the table.

Surprise...! AJ/Curtis

Comics! the great solution to boredom, sadly when you've already read almost every comic ever that isn't going to help but still AJ couldn't help but go to the comic book shop and look around it felt like she had to or maybe because she was bored either way.

AJ basically walked around the comic book shop and checked almost every aisle to see if there was any comic books she hadn't read yet.

Needless to say she was going to give up until she saw a familiar tall figure, specifically Curtis Axel's she was curious what he was doing here, he looked a bit lost and he hadn't noticed her yet so she thought why not approach him?

AJ couldn't help but notice that Jay was smiling maybe because she kept stealing glances at him, she couldn't look at him without smiling like an idiot and blushing. She trailed her hand on the table for a second or two thinking of what she was going to say and finally she spoke.

"Uhm so sorry about the whole park situation, but I really had to tell you how I felt." AJ said pausing for a brief second she couldn't help but blush talking about this. "Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy about this... I just uh... really want to know how you feel about this." She said pointing out that she wasn't sure if he wanted to have a relationship with her at all, but since they went here to talk it over she thought of starting it off with this even though she didn't really wanna make him feel bad or weigh him down talking about really boring serious stuff it was pretty obvious in her tone since she sounded a bit nervous.

I wanted to test how these looked, and they came out pretty well. I claim ownership to the Christian gifs, but not to the AJ gifs so I thank the Tumblr owners for these.
