Well, first of all, now that his hands are free--He stuck one, knuckles first, into the front of Envy's throat. See how that does him in getting away. If it worked, he was RUNNING. (The twitch in his tail going faster the moment before may have been a tell he was about to do something like it.)

Retreat is also a tactical action.

Awww, his nervous little paw-beans. Envy popped up to stand ON the chair, deftly executing a musical choreography-style step onto the back, tipping it over and getting right the fuck in his face. In fact! You know what? They'll take one of those hands, quickly intertwining their fingers, and shoving it against a wall.

"Aw, sweetie, do you think that's stopped me before?"

When his wrist hit wall, he had gone frigid from ear to tail. Analyzing his situation.

Envy, inhuman, immortal, being a scurge.

Viktor, undead, functionally immortal, trapped in a corner, not particularly physically strong--just durable and regenerating.

On Viktor's person; No weapons, phone, no camera, no key, no magical item. One cross(?) necklace. Pack of cigarettes. Lighter. Wallet and contents.

Wallet did have a utility card in it. A funny little gift that had some usability as an emergency tool including a blade. He can't get to that fast enough.

"Release me." A statement. Devoid of emotional intonation. Cold as the rest of him. Devoid of the humanity he'd managed to excavate.

He had two other kinds of weapons built in these days.

"Oh, it isn't? How sexy of you." Their voice dropped husky and low, and they traced a claw-like manicured nail on the chair's contours. "Well they DO say opposites attract. What else do you have to offer, handsome?"

So cute when a cat man bristled. They'd take credit for this one, too. After all, Lark didn't gain his little magic catification powers until after ENVY turned him into a cat.
