Themma {Flash Forward} || What could be better than wedded bliss?
Gemma smiled softly, tilting her head to the side so that it rested against Theodoreâs. She ran her fingers over the babyâs tiny hands, admiring each little finger that was clenched into a fist. âHe is. He really, really is.â She stroked the babyâs head, smiling down at it with a full blown, uncontrollable grin. âIâm proud of you. You didnât even faint. I love you too.â She turned her head slightly, kissing him gently on the lips. She sighed happily, feeling as though her heart might very well burst from so much love. âTheodore,â She turned a little more, so that she could face him completely. âWe still havenât picked a name yet, you know. And I was thinking, since he is a first son and all, why donât we name him after your father? He is the first little Nott heir I mean, and besides, he looks like a Flynn, donât you think?â She raised an eyebrow, gauging his reaction. âI donât know, it was just an idea.â She shrugged her shoulders, turning back to the baby. âSpeaking of which, theyâll be here soon wonât they, Mia and your father. It was nice to have this quiet family time together while it lasted.â She laughed teasingly, leaning back against his chest.
âI know, no fainting, no vomiting, hell, I didnât even have a panic attack, I think I did rather well actually. Itâs strange, I was all ready to flip, to freak out, and then, well, you needed me, and this strange calming overtook me, and all I cared for was you, for him, to make sure you were both ok, my own feelings didnât even resonate within me.â Theodore moved to look directly at her, his face almost overcome with awe, âWhat? Really? You donât mind? Well, my father will likely die of happiness, but I mean, I didnât mention it, because I didnât want to force you into something you didnât want to do, just to make me happy. It has to be both of our decision, but yes, I think he does quite suit the name, now you say it. Though, you do realise of course, if we do Flynn for father, we will have to do Karl, as a middle name for my grandpops, or we will simply never hear the end of it.â Theodore ran his fingers gently across the babyâs face, over his tiny little tuft of brown hair. âFlynn, Karl, Nott, it has quite the ring to it doesnât it? You know that babies are born with blue eyes, and then, in the first few months, sometimes years later, they change to their true colour? I should think, that with both of us, he is likely to be either blue or green, or a mix, but who knows?â Theodore groaned, sighing, âYes, they will be here soon, they likely thought they had time, because it is supposed to take so long. I am almost tempted to drag you both away, to hide, but it wouldnât be worth it. Mia would find us at least, and then just tell father where we were. Still, I am sure the fact he has a grandson named after him will keep him sweet for the time being. As for Mia, well, I dread to think what she will be like.â Theodore nudged his cheek against Gemmaâs playfully. âStill, itâs nice to know we are so loved hmm?âÂ
"You did a brilliant job love, it's the daddy in you. It looks like over preparing yourself for months on end might have very well paid off." Gemma smiled, nudging him carefully with her shoulder. "This little one is lucky he has such a strong father to take care of him. Of course I don't mind, the more I think about it, the more it seems like the obvious choice really. Please, I like it, I think it suits him. Doesn't it, Flynn? How do you like your new name, hmm?" She cooed, smiling giddily. "Oh I should expect that he'll be thrilled, if he doesn't get to chose the name himself that at least the baby will be named after him." She laughed, blowing the stray wisps of hair away from her eyes. "I had figured something of the sort, otherwise we would have a very put off old man on our hands, and I know how difficult those can be to deal with." She bumped against him teasingly. "It sounds perfect, there, it's nice to finally have a name for him, so now we can stop referring to him just as 'baby'. He has beautiful eyes, of course they will be however they end up turning out, but even now they are absolutely beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen a more handsome baby in my life. Good thing he finally decided to show himself! I really don't think I could have waited too much longer. Oh I'm sure they will behave themselves, if they don't, they should remember that we have the ultimate authority at the moment, and I intend to enjoy it." She grinned, crinkling her nose. "Besides, I bet Flynn is very excited to meet his auntie and his granddad, maybe as much as they are to see him."
