I’M BACK ON MY KINGDOM HEARTS BULLSHIT AND LOOKING FOR A PARTNER FOR A 1X1 BASED ON THE FOLLOWING:

To begin, I’m not necessarily looking for something tied directly to the main storyline of the Kingdom Hearts (like I don’t want to be all yo i’m the secret saviour of the darkness or something) but that is related tangentially and involves original characters. Y’know, like an AU or original side story or something. (In other words, I don’t know that I’m personally quite ready to write canon KH characters just yet but I’m DESPERATE to write in the world.) That being said, I’m totally happy to write against Canon Characters because I love them?????

As it turns out, I’m not good with fanfic writing so this is the only way this… idea? will see the light of day.

- Backstory -

Kit is from Earth, or a place very much like it. Magic isn’t real [or perhaps just doesn’t work here], potions don’t heal you [that’s what modern medicine is for], everything is very much grounded in our reality. In other words, according to her reality, the way the worlds of Kingdom Hearts work just… shouldn’t make sense.

Kit is tasked with collecting her sister from Summer Camp - it’s a day long drive, up over the hills and through thick walls of towering trees. The drive doesn’t go as planned and her car breaks down [after hitting some weird… animal, black as midnight and really creepy.]

Kit leaves her car and has to make the rest of the trek to camp by foot. The councillors radio a mechanic to tow their car and all seems well. But night falls suddenly at lunchtime the next morning and the weird animals [heartless] return. “Earth” is subsequently consumed by darkness.

- THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN! -

First, I don’t know if my character’s sister is consumed by the heartless, or if somehow Organisation XIII are involved with stealing children from summer camps - that’s all up for discussion - but either way she is determined she will find her sister and return home.

She wakes up in another world [up for discussion] and is found by YOUR CHARACTER. Their motivations and alliances are completely up to you. Everything from this point forward will be plotted between us.

Let’s call it an adventure story!

REBLOG IF YOU ARE OKAY WITH JUMPING AROUND IN THREADS/PLOTS. sometimes it can take ages to get from point a to point b and half the fun is the journey. but sometimes it fun to explore different aspects of a plot. flashfowards, flashbacks, parts of the plot you have discussed but haven’t reached yet. It’s so fun to explore every part of a plot and have multiple threads in different places in a plot. Or sometimes different memes you sent/receive may not fit the point in the plot you are at right now, but fit a flashback or flashfoward. my favorite, oddly specific trope is when both the hero and the villain know each other’s secret identities and they wind up bumping into each other when they’re in civilian mode, but they can’t throw down (even though they both REALLY want to) because surprise! they have a mutual friend. so they’re just sitting across from each other at the dinner table awkwardly avoiding eye contact and desperately trying to dodge Oblivious Friend’s questions about what they did over the weekend because they can’t very well sit there and be like “oh yeah this weekend was fun, i went to the movies and then i threw a truck at this asshole’s head” or “not great, there was an issue at the bank and before i could make off with the money, THIS asshole threw a truck at my head”

THERE’S SOMETHING STRANGE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

The neighborhood has always been a little bit strange. You can remember time spent as a child running through the dead and yellowed grass in your front yard. It always felt like alien eyes were watching you, to the point that you told your parents but they reassured you that it was just your neighbor. They were watching out for you. They were always watching. The beige houses all seem to blend in with one another, each one looking exactly like the next. You remember getting lost on your way home from school, knocking on the wrong door more than once. One time you saw one of your neighbors with her head stuck in the oven, unmoving. But she was just cleaning it. Right? The fireflies seem to call to you at night, humming in a trance-like state that sounds less like a song and more like a warning. You close your window when it gets too loud and forget about it. You also forget that your closet door opens by itself every night at 3 A.M and how your parent’s PTA meetings seem to go on for the entire night. But they swear you’re just dreaming. That it’s just your active imagination.

The news blares to life on your old tube television, raging on about another murder. That’s the third time this year. The bodies were fond bobbing in Bob’s Floats, the local community pool, their chlorine thighs smacking against the concrete surface. Strange occurrences like this aren’t special to small towns like yours but this is unsuspectingly new. This is beyond your neighbor across the street peering at you through gilded eyes that glow even when its bright outside.
