Support Groups for the SAHD
In Minnesota there is a group called Minnesota Dads At Home and they are a support group for men in mostly the Twin Cities area. They have field trips for the dads and the children going to the Zoo and other kid friendly places. The dads also go on adult trips from the bar to hunting trips.

Men Staying at Home Facts
Most men stay at home because of economic reasons. If they loss there job they just stay at home and most of the men do not enter back into the workforce for at least 3-5 years.
In 2002, 105,000 Stay-At-Home Dads.
In 2006, 159,000 Stat-At-Home Dads.
Today there is about 5 million Stay-At-Home Dads.
Women in Workplace Numbers
Their is 154.4 million people in the American workforce.
Out of that number 47% is women or 72 million.
51.5% of women are in high paying management positions.
On average women make 78% of what mens wages are.
CareerBuilder says that women will not have equal pay until 2050.
The Influence of Media on Views of Gender
The presentation says that women are underrepresented which implies that men are the cultural standard. Men and women are almost always shown in stereotypical ways. One stereotype that they address is that women are used as sex objects to male coworkers, which brings in sexual harassment.
The Sims
The Sims video game has sold over 50 million copies world wide. In the game people have can choose to have a maid come clean there house. And of course what gender is the maid FEMALE. So, in that game alone you have 50 million plus people thinking that only women should do the cleaning.
The Mommy Track
The New York Times say that more and more women are choosing the Mommy Track. The Mommy Track is having a family and staying home with the family. Compare to the Job Track which people get careers and have a track like get a promotion in 2 years and then be CEO in 20 year.
