I really should have seen this coming. I mean, after the things that were said to me - I should have expected that they were probably being said about me.
I knew that it didn't really mean much. That things were breaking down. But I tried to ignore that.
The good news is that I don't have to worry about it anymore, and I'm actually better off. Which is what everyone kept telling me any way, I just never listened.
It still kind of hurts when someone you thought you could count on - someone you thought was one of your best friends - just drops you. Starts saying they don't even want you around them. So you can't be included in group activities.
That's fine. Shun me. Single me out. It doesn't matter. I'm bigger than that. I'm better than that. I'm better than you. And really, when I think about it, I didn't really have your friendship for a long time. And really, it isn't worth the worry. I'm not sure it ever was.
So try to shun me. Because the joke is on you.
Why is it that people have no problem just dropping the people they're supposed to care about? With no rhyme or reason. No explanation. No nothing. They just stop caring and then expect that you'll just get it. Even if you try to figure it out.
So, I joined influenster almost a year ago, and when I joined - I didn't really get it and I didn't have the time, so I just kind of forgot about it. Well they vamped up their site and the program and everything, and I got an email about it, so I thought "hm, maybe I'll give it a whirl." Cause, let's face it - if it's free it's for me.
So basically, you go and do surveys and all kinds of stuff and rack up points and do/read reviews on products and you have the potential to get a Voxbox with some free products to try out.
So far, I think it's pretty awesome. It's a good way to get feedback on products, and it's a good way to kill time.
So, if you're into that kind of thing - check it out :) http://www.influenster.com
Damon: They're floating lanterns in the sky. Can you believe that? Japanese lanterns as a symbol of letting go of the past. Well here's a news flash - we're not Japanese! You know what they are? Children. Like lighting a candle is gonna make everything okay or even saying a prayer or pretending Elena is not gonna end up just like the rest of us murderous vampires. Stupid, delusional, exasperating little children. I know what you’re gonna say. “Makes them feel better, Damon.” So what? For how long? A minute, a day? What difference does it make? Because in the end, when you lose somebody every candle, every prayer is not gonna make up for the fact that the only thing that you have left is a hole in your life where that somebody that you cared about used to be. And a rock…with a birthdate carved into it that I’m pretty sure is wrong. So, thanks friend. Thanks for leaving me here to babysit. Because I should be long gone by now. I didn’t get the girl, remember? I’m just stuck here fighting with my brother and taking care of the kids. You owe me big.
Alaric: I miss you too, buddy.

It's interesting to see how people rate "wrong doings." How easily some things can be forgiven over others. How certain people get a higher rank of importance so unexpectedly. The way people rank their loved ones and/or priorities. Not that I'm not guilty of it myself. It's just interesting sometimes.
