Lestat didn’t like to do what Marius told him. He never liked to. Even when he first visited his beautiful house. The first thing that happened when he set foot in the gorgeous paradise was spill his fricking blood flavored Capri sun on Marius’s new carpet. He then proceeded to go into Marius’s private bedroom and look through the dresser drawers. He accidentally misplaced Marius’s wallet, and broke about 25 of Marius’s rare vintage South African wine glasses and about 15 other of Marius’s most prized possessions, including Marius’s antique Canadian dining room chandelier. What a disgrace. That’s okay, though. At least, it was okay to Lestat.

let! lestat! be! vulnerable! give louis a chance to support and help him in a way that isn’t just enablement! I love fics that explore louis’ kind of strength - not necessarily physical and aggressive, but his emotional and psychological resilience - because AR gets fixated on lestat being “ “Strong” ” and strength being a fixed singular concept so anyone who isn’t “strong” like lestat is obviously Weak and uughdjglkdsgjdslkjdslkgs. yeah. gross. LET LOUIS BE THE STRONG ONE SOMETIMES.

Armand closed his eyes briefly and let out a breath. “I simply assumed there was more to this than your wish to tell me how intense I am. But if we’re exchanging impressions - has anyone ever told you you’re maddening?”

"I was just making an observation." Listen, it's hardly his fault Armand has a way of being unapproachable. He's never sure if he's going to get his head bit off or not for trying to engage in conversation, though he kind of likes that quality in Armand.
