I spent the first week of the New Year off of the face of the planet, so it seems. Kept unplugged, finally turned my phone on for the first time in a couple of days and my mum is about ready to plan a funeral for me. Has anything changed? Have we been invaded by aliens? Have all the conspiracy theories been proven correct? Who knows, pal, one week in the comfort of your home and you miss everything! And go a bit stir crazy.

I have to say, I’m addicted to my phone, but it’s good to turn off all the devices and recharge yourself. I feel like people need to do that more often, or at least I do. What did you do? Just stay inside? That’s probably why your mother thinks your dead. I don’t things got that drastic, but I’m still a firm believer that there is something up there and the government totally knows about it.

How is it 2018? It still doesn’t seem like a real thing. 2013 was five years ago. Five! I’m turning 30 this year and that doesn’t seem possible since I was 18 like last week. Let’s all revert back to the 90′s. Tamagotchi’s, Furbies, waiting by the house phone for a phone call from your friends, boycott the internet- Okay, that may be too far, but social media for sure! If we all do it, nobody can stop us! I say desperately trying to cling on to my youth. I need alcohol. If I can’t be young, I can at least be drunk.

How close is your birthday? Here’s to hoping you still have a few month’s left of your twenties. I’m still writing 2017 on things, I hate the first month when you’re trying to get used to the eight instead of the seven. And you sit there trying to form it into a weird looking eight so you don’t have to rewrite the whole thing. Tamagotchi’s were amazing, do they still have those around?

Dee: And my house will be turned upside down after the kids run around and destroy it. I'd definitely leave him tied up there, maybe make him watch 90210 or something in the mean time. See, that's exactly what I need. I need a sappy movie night that I can cry it out to. It's a little insane, isn't it? I feel old. Sounds good to me, where do you wanna go?

Dee: I don't know. I'm kind of in that state where I don't want to think about it. Like if I think about it I'd get invested and get my hopes up and probably get hurt. Ignoring it all isn't doing me any favours but I'm afraid to let him in.

Gen: It's cool, then we can make him clean it all up. ;) Oh the torture, I love it. I'll hold you while you cry, Dee. I'll probably end up crying with you though to be honest. Oh please, you still look young to me. Somewhere warm and tropical.

Gen: Well to me, you both have always been meant to be for each other. But obviously your feelings are important. Maybe take it slow, have a coffee and talk a little bit. It couldn't hurt.

Dee: We should definitely leave him alone with the kids! They may give him a heart attack but I’m sure the kids will have fun at least. Can we watch Love Actually? I’d say you’re a supermom too. You have, you’ve raised the sweetest boys I know. How did Shep turn four? What the hell. I can’t believe our little man is growing up!!!! We definitely should all go out. A family trip would be amazing!!

Dee: We were talking about what made us fall in love with the other. He was talking about missing me more than he should and for a second he said something like /maybe/ we'd be better at staying together now. I don’t know what happened.

Gen: We'll come back and he'll be tied to a chair while the kids are hyped up on sugar and running around the house. I would actually pay to see that. Of course, darling. We can watch all the sappy romance movies your heart desires. I don't know, it still blows my mind. And the twins are a year old already. It's crazy how fast they are all growin' up! Great! Let's have dinner together and set it up.

Gen: That sounds great and all, but how do /you/ feel about all this?

Besides, Tom is heaven sent when he’s here. He’s always on his best behaviour and makes sure Sheppy stays in line too. I can handle the five of them, no problem. You can have a day with them all too, don’t worry. I don’t know to be honest. We’ve been talking about some serious stuff, it’s been freeing but confusing.
