Lighting
This is a ‘power up’ for refilling your laser weapon. The theme is that it is an energy source and refills your depleted supply after you fire a certain amount of ammo from your weapon.
This is a laser.
Laser Pixel Art
This piece is yet to assigned to a ship but it will more than likely be used with the Cannon Fodder.
The Pixel art has been made by having ever new colour added on a separate layer to allow for editing and to be able to show the progress of the pixel art.
This is the finished pixel art.
First Pixel art Piece
Cannon_Fodder
This is the first layer of the piece. The blue is just a background.
This is the first pixel art piece for our game, this piece is called Cannon Fodder and will be used by the enemy of the player, there may be multiple of these ships. There is a possibility that they may come in a fleet.
The purple violet pixels shows the entrails from the ships propulsion system.
New Project
Pixel art is the a method of creating images using very few pixels and give a unique art style. Pixel art games where originally made due to computers and video games consoles limitations. It was common for pixel art games to be made for 8-bit and 16-bit computers.
To make our game we will be using Unity for the games engine and be using Photoshop to create the pixel art for the game.
In Game
Final screenshots of the models in game demo.
Projector
This shows the projector with that shading.
Door
This is the automatic door which uses the code at the bottom of my blog this allows the door to be opened by the player.
Tv
This model is of a television without and reception and displaying a constant static.
CCTV
This is the CCTV model that will be implemented to the game to give the effect of being constantly watched by something. This further leads to the idea that technology is going to take over.
Monitor
For this model, i created the basic model of a monitor then made a UV unwrap for the model and added the appropriate textures.
Keyboard
For the keyboard I used a simple box plane and added depth. From this I added a keyboard texture to present the keyboard.
Computer Tower
This is the finished textured computer tower with a plastic side to the case allowing you to see the motherboard. I made this by creating a box and implanting another box inside the existing box to create the innards of computer.
Projector model
This is one of my assets that i will be implementing, this model isn’t textured yet. This is one of the models that won’t be animated.
Technophobia
Technophobia is the fear or dislike of advanced technology or complex devices, especially computers. The term is generally used in the sense of an irrational fear, but others contend fears are justified.
Alexa
This model is based of the Amazon Alexa a smart device that speaks to and responds to the user. This device has spacial awareness and is able to detect when people are within its proximity. This ads to the theme of Technophobia as it presents the case of future and adapting technology which is the premise of the phobia.
