Let me introduce you to my aunt Lyn. In 2015, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She was given only a few months to live. I wanted to start a photo series featuring people in my life. Let's start with her. My tita's been a part of my life since the day I was born; she's a second mother to me. She fed me well, kept me entertained, and gave me company. She made sure I knew and felt loved. She treated me as if I were her own son. She thought me lessons I've carried with me to this day. It broke our hearts when we were told she only had very little time left. We prayed, we cried, we hoped for the best. Today, two years on, she's going strong. She got discharged from the hospital today! She's eating well, laughing hard, talking lots, moving and joking around. There have been days where expectations looked dim but she never loses faith. It's a long, hard, difficult fight but she's a champion. Hope hasn't left, as it shouldn't. Prayers haven't stopped, as it won't. Shoutouts to our friends and family around the world for your continued prayers and support. I love you tita! I'm very blessed to have you in my life. PS: Tita, sorry for posting the photo of you fixing your hair. It was the funniest one lol. #blessed (at Mandaluyong)
