I’ve found myself wondering “Where are the trans people of color?” a million times.
In my life, I’m often the only person of color in a room of trans people. I’ve noticed it is harder to find pictures and reviews of products (like packers) in the non-white skin tones. I see fewer pictures of POC post-surgery, and fewer people of color documenting their changes on HRT. Selfies of trans people, binary or non-binary, tend to skew towards the white and AFAB side. Hopefully, this blog can provide a sense of community and inclusion for all trans people of color.
This blog is a place where we can answer that question. Where are the trans people of color? We’re right here! We’re talking about how our day went, about our families, about coming out, about our pets, about our transitions, about our ups and downs. We are here. We exist. This is a new blog for TPOC (trans people of color) to submit selfies of themselves! Anyone and everyone is allowed to follow us, all support is welcome, but only TPOC can send selfies.
Please reblog and spread the word!
Electrolysis progress. I’ve been going since February and as you can see, it’s making a noticeable difference. Not missing my arm hair as much as I was anxious I would. My date is in Feb 2019 and I’m feeling woefully unprepared right now, but I’ve got plenty of time to get it together and change that.
How long did it take for your Emisil to come in the mail?
I got mine used from another person, so shipping times were different from ordering direct from the manufacturer.
body + beard shot 22 | 5 yrs on T | 4 yrs post top | 9 months until phallo
What do you think of Emisil Gen 2 STP?
I had one for about a week that I got used. It is VERY easy to pee with, but also very large, bulky, and firm, which to me made it impossible to pack with. The balls are also pretty fragile and prone to tearing/leaking.
I have an stp question. So I’m saving to buy an emisil hyperrealistic stp and I’m wondering when you compare which skin tone is best for you if you should look at the skin from your hip so that the prosthetic matches more there? Because if I compare to my arm I feel like then my prosthetic won’t be accurate since that area tends to get more sunlight verses my thigh/bottom half area since it gets any sunlight. (Idk if that makes sense) but have any suggestions?
Yeah, I’d compare to the area from your hip vs arm for the same reason you suspected.
Exciting news!
I’m scheduled for RFF phalloplasty with Dr. Chen and the Buncke Clinic on February 20, 2019!!
I am not sure how many updates I will be providing on this blog, as I’ve been debating making a separate one just for surgery updates. If I do that, I’ll make a post so people can ask for the URL! I also most likely will not be sharing pictures of my genitals, so don’t expect that from me.
first round of electrolysis done! (who knows how many to go...)
gc2b is doing a sale until febuary 4th, use the code “FebFlash2018″ for 15% of anything from their site !! even if you arent trans or dont need a binder pls pls boost this for the people that do, it could really help someone out !!!
I’ve been considering starting a new blog just to talk about phallo-related stuff, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it/if it would be better to just talk about it all here. Decisions, decisions.
I'm probably going to have a date secured for bottom surgery this time next month!!!
15% of all binders on gc2b and a discount code for free shipping (GC2B) until January 1st, boost for anyone who needs this
