It will be easy...said no one EVER.
Today I just don't feel motivated. I didn't exercise. I didn't eat horribly, but I ate two rolls of sushi. I'm just not feeling it today. But I'm choosing to not be soo hard on myself about it.Â
The truth is I've been out of shape for the past couple of years and decided  that I need to take care of myself.Â
Plain and simple...though not really.Â
This isn't the first time that I've had an epiphany of getting into shape. It feels different this time though. Maybe because I'm 24 going on 25 and that is terrifying to me. Or maybe because I'm wise and realize I can't kick myself in the butt for messing up. I mean right now I'm laying in bed with a cup of green olives and a large package of Sour Straws. I haven't opened the Sour Straws yet. I'm contemplating whether or not to count today as my cheat day or save it for Sunday, which happens to be Superbowl Sunday...and my niece's baptism.Â
There will be cake.Â
Anyway. Back on point. If there is one.Â
I guess I really started eating healthy and exercising about two weeks ago. I've been doing really well. I've already lost a pound. YAY! I should probably mention my starting weight was 217 (now 216..YAY!) I'm shooting to lose a total of 92 pounds in the next year or so. I don't want to put a strict time restraint on myself because I know that is a ton to lose so I'm pretty laid back on the time it takes me to achieve that goal.Â
The weight loss isn't the most important part for me. It's the getting healthy part. I need to take care of my body that I love so dearly. I don't even feel vain for saying that, because it's soo important to love yourself.
But I guess the lesson is that I shouldn't be so hard on my human self, because life happens. After all I'm just human. Tomorrow will be a better day and I'll be back on track.
(By the way...I've decided to eat the Sour Straws.)
