They are so normal and coping healthily with their situations. The coping brothers.
Fun fact! Stan smokes in BLAU! He tries not to do it too much (it is Ford's body, after all) but he's. Under some stress.

Stan occasionally becomes visible to people other than Ford— he doesn't have any control over it, and it usually only lasts a few seconds at most.
Directly after this, Dipper stopped seeing him— and therefore never got his answers.

Messing with colors to see if I want to change it...
In order:
Colorpicked alive, canon ghost, canon ghost + static
Desaturated, saturated ghost, sat. ghost + static
The verdict is.... I'm indecisive! Even after making these I still didn't know! I really liked the desaturated, normal flesh tones (he looks so awful and unhealthy) . But I chose them in an effort to make an alive Stanley.
So of course I made a whole drawing to test his colors against the rest of the family to see if he looked sufficiently "dead" enough :p

And uh....... Results?
I'm changing Stanley's color again lol. I do as I wish! I am an unstoppable force! Etc etc

Oftentimes I have to keep myself from drawing Stan like this...
He's such a creature. But also he would never ever get caught dead (HA) looking like this. It just doesn't fit his personality, unfortunately,no matter how much joy it brings me.

Ford doesn't own a car, and Stan doesn't want to get near the death traps.
The walk into town is half an hour long, and the twins aren't used to that kind of trek during the summer.
What else was Stan supposed to do?

Since Stanley isn't used to having a body, he's much worse at.. everything! He's super clumsy (forgets about gravity) and trips over basically nothing. He also has slow reaction speeds and forgets that he can get himself (and Ford) injured.
The one thing he's able to do relatively well is cook! As long as there are no tripping hazards...
