I have heard a couple people say they thought I had moved to Austin. I’m still living in Lubbock, for the time being. Hopefully around the end of the summer, @manderbot, @crunchwrapkittybae and I will be moving to Austin. So, holla me, her, or at @studio2410tx soon to book with us. I can’t wait another day to post these!!! Been sitting on them for about a week, Lol. One big downfalls for creatives I have noticed, is thinking that you are a badass. I notice the most talented photogs never say it, and the most novice and boring ones always talk about how good they are, or talk down on one another. One of the main reason I feel like I have noticed my constant steady progression is because I am never content, and the second I’m done with a shoot I just try to notice what I can change next time, and thinking about the next step. I know how high my bar is set for creating pictures and videos, and it’s going to be years more before I’m content with my work, and by then I may have found even more inspiration that sets the bar higher. Bottom line, focus on what you are doing, compete only with yourself, find some great creators to follow and study, learn, practice, stay humble. Also, quit worrying about what other people are doing, especially if its to view them negatively. Ok here is a little story. I grew up super poor, and always have identified as a rebel and misfit. A lot of my life these perspectives have shaped the way I view people, as well as how I view my relationships. Over the past couple years tho, I have realized more and more how much we are all the same, and have allowed myself to try to be friends and appreciate all sorts of people. When I moved back to Lubbock and started working at my job, I noticed there were a lot of people that in the past I wouldn't have tried to befriend. Now that I have let those ideas go, that in turn has allowed me to really appreciate and enjoy friendships that before I would have ignored because of our differences. So cheers to allowing friendships happen no matter what the differences are in race, orientation, gender, class and upbringings.
