Shauntal was sitting at large table in the library. She had a big Psychology book opened studying for her upcoming test. As she read, she took a sip of coffee, something that would help her stay awake as she read. The lines of words began to intertwine as she read, she needed  to take a break, just for a few minuets. She put down the book to rest her eyes from the words, as she looked around the library at the people passing by her.

N knew he should study some more for the upcoming test. He always felt good about tests and such. He scanned the library for an open table and saw Shauntal at one. He headed over to where she sat.

"Hey. Mind if I join you. Looks like we’re both studying for Psychology so why not study together?"

As she turned her head she was N walking to her table. She had not seem him in a few days. She heard him talking to her, she smiled at him

"Sure you can! The more the marrier" She said looking up at him.

The long winter months were really dragging Buck down.

He was, by far, born and bred for summer weather. He grew up on the beach; his island heritage and dark complexion craved sunlight in all forms. And this, the tragic backdrop of white on white for the weather, chilled his bones and his spirit.

He found himself in downtown Lumiose, looking for some form of relief. Stumbling into a very posh cafe, he sat down with a flop in a comfortable chair and scanned the room. Across the way, he noticed someone who looked familiar.

"Yo!" He called out. "D’ya go to college here?"

Sitting in a warm cafe, with a big cup of black coffee as she took a sip, Shauntal looked out the window into the street. She liked the cold weather, but these long winter months really took a toll on her. She liked going out in the warm spring day to write and spend time with her pokemon.

But being in a nice cafe was also pleasing. She looked another sip as she looked at what she had written down. Then out of no where she heard someone yelling, was it at her? She looked out to see where it was coming from and saw a boy. Shew placed her cup of coffee down as she pointed to herself to see if the boy was talking to her.

"Yeah the snow does make it hard to make move around" She said as she took a bite of her salad and a slip of ice tea.

"Fall is my favorite season. All the pretty colors of the trees. I always take my pokemon on walks in the park in fall"

N nodded. That did sound nice to him. He also liked the thought of going for walks with his Pokemon in the parks. 

"As long as we don’t get any blizzards. I know some people would be happy with cancelled classes, but I’d rather not miss anything."

Shauntal thought about a blizzard happening. She hated missing classes "Yeah that would suck." She said as she sipped her tea

Shauntal looked at the menu, she picked a salad and an ice tea. She walked next to N as they when to a table. “I’m ok with the cold, but I do miss the warm weather” She said to N.

"I think Spring is my favorite season. My Pokemon like it a lot as well and I always tend to lean to their preferences." N looked around as he sipped his hot chocolate. 

"It’s not easy trying to move through the snow. Winters in Unova were a little better than this."

Shauntal was siting in the school’s coffee shop, working on her next chapter of her book. She had been working on this chapter few a most 2 week. Nothing was coming to her. she put down her pen and looked at what she just put down, it was horrible. She took a sip of her coffee. Maybe a little break from writing would her clear her head.

She looked around the coffee shop, looking at the people sit down like her drinking their coffee, others coming in and out. She took another sip from her coffee closing her eye for a second. Then hearing a noise she looked up to see what it was.

Cheren practically lived at the school’s coffee shop. The gym leader relied on the beverage to give him energy throughout the day. Lately his consumption of coffee had reached critical levels; therefore, he had to start drinking decaf. After all he wanted to avoid getting a heart attack. Normally the small coffee shop was uncrowded in the afternoon. However a large group of students visited the shop after class leaving Cheren with nowhere to sit.

Finally, he spotted an open seat in front of a girl. “Do you mind if I sit here?” He asked as he sat down placing his laptop case on the floor next to his seat. “It’s unusually busy today.” He remarked in a slightly tense tone of voice.

Shaunta smiled at the boy, “Sure you can sit here.” as she moved her book closer to herself to make room for him. She was not going to be rude to the boy she could see all the students in the coffee shop and knew there was no other place to sit. She could feel the tense in his voice. “Yeah I know. This is the most people I have ever seen in here.” She said to the boy as she looked around at the people in the coffee shop.

Hikari offered a smile. “Nice to meet you! I’m a sophomore. Chemistry major. I’m one of the study abroad students, actually.”

"Oh interesting, I'm a literature major" Shauntal said pushing her glasses up from the tip of her nose. "Im part of the study abroad program as well. I'm from The Unova Region. Where are you from?" She asked Hikari.

Shauntal as N run to the cafe door. She giggled a little as she walked fast to the door way. She looked at the cafe at all the student sitting down eating their food. It was a normal cafe at any school “Lest go in” She said smiling at N as she walked in to the cash register.

N followed her in. He looked around at the options and how much money he had on him. He decided on a turkey sandwich and some hot chocolate. He waited for Shauntal to decide on what she was going to eat before he choose a table. 

"I can’t wait for Spring to come. I am not a fan of the cold."

Shuantal smiled at the girl as she fixed her glasses that moved to the tip of her nose. She looked over to her Empeleon as she elbowed it and giggled a little at the sight of that.

"Hi Hikari, I’m Shauntal. Its nice to meet you!" putting out her hand to shake her’s.

Hikari shook her hand with a smile.

"So…" Hikari rocked back and forth on the heels of her feet. "Are you a student here?"

"Oh yes I am" Shauntal said with a smile. "A freshman to be exact"

Digging her keys out of the pocket of her pea coat, Marley entered her rather empty dorm room. Not many students were currently assigned in her living quarters, which, quite frankly, she did not mind. But something seemed amiss since the last time she was around, almost as if someone else had been here... Hesitantly, Marley opened the door to her room, only to find a purple-haired girl sitting at a desk, pen in hand. "H-hello," Marley greeted, surprised. "...You must be my roommate..."

Shauntal looked up from her work, hearing the door opening up. She saw the dark hair girl in the door way. Shauntal gave a girl a smile “Yup I am” she said cheerfully to her comment. Shauntal got up from her desk, pushing the chair back in and walking over over to the girl. “Hi I’m Shauntal and you must be Marley right?” She asked to make sure she was the right person.

"Ah, if you’re sure…" 

Empeleon seemed to be much to amused next to her, and Hikari elbowed it with a disapproving frown and glare. She turned her attention back to Shauntal and pulled her hat down further to keep her head warm.

"I’m Hikari, by the way."

Shauntal loved snow days. They where always pretty. She though it would be a nice day for a walk with her Mismaglus. She was bundled up herself as she walked with her pokemon. Shuantal looked at the  beautiful snow fulled trees and cover ground. “It so pretty right Mismaglus”, her pokemon nodded to her.

As they walked by an open field, something hit Shauntal right in the face she felled straight to the ground. It was a snow ball. Mismaglus saw this happen and flew next to her making sure she was ok. “Im fine Mismagus” She said as she got up and brushed the snow off her dress.

Feeling awful, Hikari ran over to where Shauntal had fallen. Worry was clearly etched across her face as Empoleon snickered quietly in the background. She looked over her shoulder to shoot him a glare, only for him to avoid her stare innocently. 

"I am soooooo sorry! Are you okay? I was trying to hit my Empoleon, but he moved at the last second…"

Shauntal looked up at the girl as she bushed the rest of the snow off her dress. "Oh it ok!" She said with a smile at the girl. Nothing was really wrong from her falling, well maybe her butt hurt a tad. Mismagius puffed her cheek a little at the girl that ran up, mad that the girl made her master fall. Shauntal looked at her Mismagius "Its ok i'm fine!" She said to her Pokemon. She looked back at the girl. "Its ok I'm not hurt or anything"

"Waaaait!"

Hikari whined and tried her best to waddle after her Empoleon, who was several steps ahead of her. While Kalos winters certainly weren’t as bad as Sinnoh ones, they weren’t exactly pleasant either. The current snow falling was the reason she was so bundled up, barely able to keep up with her starter Pokemon. Just because they were at school didn’t mean they were allowed to slack off in their training regiment! 

Whether or not he had heard her, Empoleon didn’t stop to wait for its trainer. Hikari pouted, puffing her cheeks out childishly. Well, she knew how to get its attention. She crouched down and scooped up a handful of snow in her gloves. Quickly pressing it all together into the shape of a ball, she aimed it at Empoleon and threw it.

Well, her aim wasn’t exactly off, but the Pokemon had seemed to sense the impending threat. It stepped aside to dodge it, instead letting the snowball fly at some poor, innocent passerby and hitting them.

"… Oops."

"Alright!" She said with a smile as they began to walk to the cafe. "So hows the food at the Cafe?" She asks, never eating there she wanted to know if the food what good.

"It’s pretty good," N said. He had eaten there a few times so far, and he liked what they had there. "Not too much variety but I like it enough. I’m sure you will as well."

He saw the cafe and raced over feeling hungrier by the minute. He stood by the door though to wait for Shauntal.

Shauntal heard a growl, she looked over at N. She giggled a little as she replied “Sure, I’m a little hungry myself.” She had not eaten all day and was feeling the stomach growls too.

"Yeah I can do the rest of the unpacking tonight. So lets go to your room!" She smiled as she closed up the box she was unpacking.

N was happy to hear that Shauntal was going to join him. “I live in dorm 1. It’s not too far from here.”

He headed in the direction of his dorm and then to his room. He grabbed his money and then smiled at Shauntal. “I’m all set. Let’s go eat!”

She looked around and saw a bookcase “Oh they have a bookcase, in the bookcase will be fine” She said with a smile. She kept pulling things out of the box her had. Candles, lamps, and plushies were some of the things in the box.

N started to place them in but as he worked he realized that he hadn’t eaten yet. He looked at the floor when his stomach growled at him.

"Oh I forgot. I was going to eat before I realize I forgot my money. My bad." He looked over at Shauntal. "Would you like to come with me?"

no time for a nap

It was early in the afternoon, just before the start of the semester, and campus was understandably flocked with new arrivals and returning students rushing to settle themselves before classes began. It made navigating most places an absolute hassle, and everywhere one turned there was a crowd of students and a loud rumble of voices.

These exact characteristics one new student in particular found to be exceptionally annoying—in theory, it shouldn’t take fighting one’s way through a crowd at every turn to get anywhere or accomplish anything, and there was beginning to grow a mild throbbing at the bridge of her nose and the crease of her brow. A headache now would be a problem, and when the first yawn escaped her small pouting mouth on the trek to the student housing facilities, Caitlin knew she was doomed.

The physical strength to carry her own over-packed luggage was decidedly lacking, and with every other imaginable source of stress conveniently present, even hauling her belongings along via telekinesis was becoming a terrible strain. The migraine was getting worse, and despite her best efforts, she could feel her eyelids drooping defiantly. Why had she insisted that she hadn’t needed any help? I can do it myself, she had snapped at the valet who had seen to her arrival in Lumiose; I don’t need to be looked after like a child.

By now it was increasingly clear that she was not going to make it without either a breakdown or a narcoleptic fit, and nineteen years of experience had taught her that the latter was always the lesser of two evils.

Stopping at a nearby picnic table couldn’t hurt. It was quieter in this corner, conveniently placed beneath a tree that provided adequate shade, and yawning all the while, Caitlin set her baggage beneath the table and settled herself, arms crossed and head resting atop them, for a brief rest.

The crowds of students were all around Shauntal as she walked in the student union. She was never a fan of large groups of people, but never the less she just walked past them not making eye contact with anyone. People moved past her as she walked to the dorms. She held tightly to her book as she walked.

 As she got out of the union, she sighed with relief. No more huge groups of people. It would be so easier to get to the dorms now. Walking down the side walk, she looked over to the picnic table and saw someone laying there. She stopped and looked at the person carefully. Was that who she thought it was. She smiled, It was Caitlin. She was so happy that one of friend. She began to walk over to her.

Shauntal knew that Caitlin loved her sleep. She was right next to her, gently she put her hand on Caitlin's back. Softly Shauntal ask "Caitlin are you ok?"
