DIMPs (Dual Income Male Partners)
On a scale of “designed an entire newspaper reporter NPC as our nemesis” to “never mentioned I wanted a horse”, how much did you talk to your DM about your character before starting the campaign?
Dead center of the scale is, of course, building a character that can only eat nobility in a campaign set in a rural Oregon town of 18,000 people
murph has such an impeccable talent to take the trope of big stoic buff guy with a code of honor and instead of being so cool make a character who is an absolute loser

Pedantic info INCOMING:
I wonder how realistic Nancy Danderhoof’s reporting is gonna be.
Oregon is a “Mixed Consent” state when it comes to recording conversations. If Nancy wanted to publish the conversation she heard in the dinner she could gotten in trouble with the law and her publisher. Oregon is mostly “all party consent”. So when she asked the PCs if she could put that on record and they said ‘no’ that recording is officially defunct.
BUT
Oregon allows “one party consent” to electronic conversation. I.E, phone calls, zooms, and email. Or when the party should ‘reasonably assume’ they are being recorded (some public places are when preforming official duties (like city council)).
This is all opposed to California (where Dropout is based) which is an “all party consent” state.
Nancy has been described to as a very ethical journalist. But does that mean ‘respecting the privacy of her sources’ or ‘being responsible for the safety of her community’???? (A good journalist should balance both).
So far, this season has been pretty pedantic and realistic with official rules and regulations so I won’t be surprised if Nancy was up to date on content laws lol
I didnt read this post much but this map is inaccurate and AI, source seems to be Avoma which is an AI site.
Hi! I was not aware that Avoma was an AI site. The data is sourced from recordinglaw.com which is pretty well cited and reliable.
However, even though this post is meant for entertainment and not education, I should’ve investigated further.
I’ll try to find a similar chart with no AI ties to replace it. Thx!
Has anyone discussed what Kristen Applebees's knee jerk reaction to Kipperlily Copperkettle implies about her (Kristen) internal life regarding Riz and Adaine? Obviously she's less hostile with her friends who are constantly actively showing her they're on her side and wanting to support her, but the insecurity and fear and comparison must live with her in some way. Even Jawbone compares the similarities between klck and riz, and adaine lives in the same house as kristen. When riz is handing out game plans for passing junior year kristen notes how big her packet is compared to others'.
Dimension 20: City Council of Darkness | Episode 6 "The Sunday Scoop and Spirits"
- This is how they do it in San Francisco.
I know a lot of people are shipping HJ and LaVonte, and I super get that, but personally I would love it if they stay platonic.
Like hear me out... They are together, like married/partners but are still fully platonic. I love their dynamic and do think they are in love, but not necessarily in a romantic or sexual way.
There also is the player dynamic, which I think would be so fucking funny, of Lou and Ally just casually playing it up as like:
"This is my partner, my business partner.... We've also been married for 50 years"
It could have been initially for tax benefits and then they just liked the dynamic and it turned into this bizarre thing they got going on now.
Maybe I'm projecting, but I just love their dynamic so far, and to me it reads like that relationship you have where it's more than friendship but doesn't turn into a romantic relationship, but in a way where they're both on the same page about it.
