A Man’s World

Women, mistreated, judged, makes no sense, standards just grow higher, get taller, be thinner, have a bigger bust, smaller waist. They say it’s “preference,” it’s “their opinion.” My body is not your “preference,” it’s not “your opinion.” It’s a temple, that I get to worship. Slut, whore, why can’t I enjoy myself. It’s a man’s world they say. Why can’t I just live in it? I do something just as good as you, I get no credit, why? Simple, it’s a man’s world, and I’m just “living” in it. If that’s what you call living, dress codes. Don’t wear that, don’t show that. Your shoulder is distracting, I shouldn’t see your knee. But Ms, Charlie is in shorts, why pick on me? Honey, you were born in a man’s world, sad isn’t it. Suck it up, you’re just a woman.

What is Love?

Falling in deep, feelings out of control. Am I crazy with love, over one dumb kiss, look at what I’ve done, sacrificing my everything for you, is this truly love, no....not your type. Green with envy, so much it’s dangerous. Do I even think of communication, course not. Is this love? Can I trust this? I’ll try, will it work, no. I’m falling in deeper, dangerously, I don’t like it. Where’s the romance? The attraction? The truth is there is none, it’s sad. Love isn’t a game, you can’t win, you can’t lose. What is romance, where’s the love? I don’t know, I may never know.
