I don't know if I've ever truly grieved the loss of a public figure before. I've mourned their losses, with like, Jimmy Carter? Knowing they were a good person, but not really personally grieving. Just knowing the world would be worse without them. But Anthony Stewart Head's death has hit really close to home for me. Besides being just a wonderful actor and a seemingly good person, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my favorite show in the world; I've been watching it since before I can remember. It's a show my mom got me into & we would watch together when I was little.

Giles always was my favorite. He was so comforting, for me who related to Buffy. I always wanted a dad like that. Recently I've been rewatching the show with my best friend, just to show it to them, and the whole time I've been pointing at every Buffy and Giles interaction and going "That's her dad, bro :("

It's such a weird feeling to have grief for someone you never knew. I know I'm not the only one feeling it either. I'm just well and truly devastated; can't imagine how his family feels. Good wishes to them.

Rip Anthony Head, you touched a lot of our hearts.
