Getting told by a family member you thought would be there for yoy that your chronic pain is a burden and that you need to get comfortable with being in constant pain feels unreal

If I could turn it off I fucking would what do you want me to do I dont know what's going on with me and its just as much of a burden to you as it is to me what the fuck do you want from me

#I have been getting chronic stomach pain and nausea #thats gotten so intense I couldn't attend work school events with friends or family trips #and today when I had to stay home #I called my mom #and she told me that she and my dad were slaves to my stomach #and that I had to just suck it up #and essentially just shut up about it #I would if I could #i fucking hate this

Based on Patricia Cronin’s Memorial to a Marriage

Desperately hoping this doesn’t get lost in Tumblr’s algorithm I love this piece so much it’s quite possibly my favorite painting I’ve ever made of Cadaver and Astarion (or ever for that matter)

And it’s one of the first times I’ve gotten teary eyed over my own art and that will not be for nothing damnit

very fitting that the year of the horse is the year I discover my love for drawing horses lmfao

Cadaver and his long lost battle buddy Sergeant!

Sergeant, aka Big ‘Sarge was Cadaver’s horse during his time as a Bhaalist- a former warhorse given immortality by Bhaal to serve his chosen

After Cadaver was assaulted by Orin, Sergeant was taken to a local stable near Wurm’s Crossing where he spent the next two years

Cadaver reunited with Sergeant after the events of the game, Big ‘Sarge becoming Cadaver and Astarion’s main mode of transportation as freelance assassins

Came to the conclusion while doing an Interview with the Vampire rewatch with my girlfriend that one of Louis and Lestat’s biggest issues is that Lestat is incredibly self aware but refuses to change while Louis isn't self aware at all and yet still insists on fixing everything

Meanwhile Armand isn’t self aware at all and has no desire to change anything any time soon and Daniel is very self aware and made efforts to change

Armand doesn’t see himself as evil, and so has no desire to “do good”. Meanwhile Daniel learned from his fuckups, describing himself as a list of dos and don’ts, acknowledging that he’s made some pretty dumb mistakes in the past but became a renowned writer in the process

Realizing that one of the reasons I loved the cage family's relationships/storyline in mkx so much was because I resonated with it a lot as a former military child/military brat

I found Cassie's experiences with having an active duty family member who was absent for much of your life growing up causing this huge divide between the two of you incredibly relatable. You don't hate each other, quite the opposite, but there's definitely a disconnect, like a wall, especially when compared to your other parent who stayed by your side your entire life, forming an exceptionally strong and fond bond in the process

I feel like stories like that surrounding military families aren't very common in media, so it really touched me in a way I dont think any other media has and I'm only just fully realizing it

tldr- mortal kombat x had the most accurate depiction of a military family I have ever seen and it made me feel very seen and emotional and we need more military brat representation in media thank you for coming to my ted talk
