Ingo is a Vespiquen hybrid and the 'Queen', with Emmet as his favourite drone/Combee hybrid, the only one mate that remains consistent whenever Ingo has to breed new workers and drones for the colony.
The depot agents are fellow Combee hybrids that live in an abandoned Train station (Gear Station) and yes, they're all fluffy as hell, they're all very protective of their queen and all of the drones are more than willing to spend some time breeding their queen, whenever Ingo asks for attention or anything really, the depot agents and Emmet are more than happy to assist.
All the drones have to wait outside of their Queen's chambers to wait for a turn since only one or two depot agents are allowed inside at a time, they happily fuck Ingo and are very desperate for some very well earned attention from their Queen. (Most of them are into: Praise kink, overstimulation kink, creampie, breeding kink and given that they're half a Combee, pheromones and scents have a great influence in their heads, so yeah, let's add scent kink to the mix why not?)
Emmet is the only one allowed to fuck Ingo outside of breeding season and to be around the queen at all times, despite them coming from the same egg and being siblings, but everyone just accepted that their Queen is happy with this one drone and they would rather die than to make their Queen sad for something so little.

HI im so sorry for taking so long to get to this but it's because i got really inspired by this and i've accidentally been cooking my own intricate kinky bee worldbuilding LMFAO.
I didn't have time/spoons to draw everything I wanted to, but I love the idea of the drones waiting for a turn to fuck their Queen; since their hive is an abandoned Gear Station, I was thinking it would be cool if Ingo's living quarter were one of the abandoned trains at the station, the metal decaying and patched up in places with the classic honeycomb structure, honey oozing from the walls where it's been stored for Ingo to snack on in the colder months. Ingo doesn't remember the names or faces of all of the workers and drones, but as long as they work hard to fuck him, he's extremely generous to praise them and drain them dry.
I like your idea of there being a breeding season (as opposed to the reality of queen bees having one mating flight that lasts them for their life boo, more fucking pls), and I think Ingo's pheromones and scent would go absolutely crazy, the workers who have to actually continue working while Ingo's moaning is echoing through the whole station and his scent is making everyone horny and light-headed are truly the strongest soldiers of all.
I think the rest is more or less represented in the stuff I drew below but rapid fire, here's some other ideas I was throwing around:
Ingo and Emmet were both born drones, but Ingo was chosen to be one of the next potential queens and fed the royal jelly that transes your gender.
Ingo did in fact have to kill all the other potential queens. (Emmet helped which is technically cheating but also no one really cares, especially since Emmet is clearly favoured by Ingo so no one really wants to mess with him).
Ingo has a crazy sweet tooth, and basically everything he eats has to be sweet. He likes foodplay, particularly with honey.
