ethel cain coming to tulsa for three nights means so much to me, she truly sees how being different in a rural space is horrifying and monsterous. a huge trans artist coming here means so much to me as a trans person. the care and way she details oklahoma through references and tornado alley esque vibes is very accurate and beautiful to me as a long term resident. oklahoma sucks and we’re completely red, being from the most rural parts it makes life an odd type of hell. her love for it inspires me because i love it in the same way, but more. i’m so glad she’s coming here :)
