i hate that people still act like charles manson is this almost supernatural twisted genius and that how he managed to amass his cult is some powerful and enigmatic testament to his svengali-esque charisma and reflection on the zeitgeist of 1960s youth culture he was just a skinny long haired white guy who made music and knew a lot of random facts and was adequately versed in philosophy who seduced a lot of skinny insecure artsy chicks who were easily impressed and felt the need to latch onto something in order to fulfill their fantasies and had their brains warped by intense hippie chakra dick i know like five dudes from my college alone who fit that exact profile and narrative
