I have made my first full animatic! It's just mine and my wife's characters (Enki and Cyra), made for our six-year anniversary <3
I've done small bits before but they're only 30 seconds at most, a full 3 minute song is a tad more difficult! I'm posting it here at the behest of my wife (@janbcat)
I had planned originally to do them in color but life got busy, I also was unable to do every request I was given but I’m hoping that soon I can complete the others!!
I absolutely love this oh my gosh you got Enki so perfect!!!!!!!
I love seeing other people's characters and this is such a treat for my eyes!!!! I am so in love with your art style and everyone's designs here are impeccable ❤️

I did some fancy fullbody art of my Wynncraft characters in the Fabula Ultima artstyle!
I'm unlikely to get the chance to play them but if I did, Enki would be a dark blade (II)/weaponmaster (III), Zarina would be an arcanist (III, void arcanum but renamed to rift to match her Riftwalker archetype)/entropist (II), and Dionus a sharpshooter (III)/wayfarer (III).
Also a group image because it's fun to see them together!
I took a break from drawing my Wynncraft character (Enki) because I have recently been playing Wynncraft. And thinking about Wynncraft. But I am back again with more Wynncraft characters! I am normal about this game!!
These two are my archer (trapper) and mage (rift walker/light bender)!
Dionus Love (the archer) is a bounty hunter from Ternaves. Lady Zarina Alya Adelaide Bathory (or just Zarina) is a noble lady from Hyloch who also writes for the Majin Monthly.
In the story/lore I have with my wife for all of our Wynncraft characters, Dionus and her archer (named Theon) are given a bounty to go after Enki's wife (who may or may not be a very dangerous pirate and skyraider). Zarina and my wife's paladin (a Fruman soldier named Kin) are also trying to hunt her down.
Unfortunately none of them accounted for Enki (after the fight they clear things up but there *is* a fight because if there is one thing Enki is it is loyal to Cyra)
I feel like I'm losing my mind because the dialogue at the end of A Journey Further got changed
It used to be that Aledar said they had the plan to sacrifice their fourth, and that's why he didn't want the player to come along on the mission. Now he says they didn't have a sacrifice in mind, and Elphaba would have probably volunteered?
What's making me lose it is why. Why change it? The dialogue changed after the Fruma expansion, so it must be related. Is it because Tasim said he was invited along as well? Wynncraft is driving me insane I swear
As a quick summary, Enki is a Fruman conscript and was formerly a mage. During an attack on Detlas by the corrupted, he was "killed", becoming partially corrupted. While he kept his sanity he lost his magic and turned to using a spear to fight.
I don't have much on his past pre-Wynn, which was on purpose. On the one hand, I want to keep the focus of him and his story on what happens in Wynn and Gavel, but on the other hand I thought that the less Fruman details I had the less I had to change and adjust when the Fruma expansion was released. The general idea is that he was a guard hiding the fact that he was cursed, but using his abilities to "cheat" and rise up in the ranks. One day, there was a thief named Cyra who he went after and failed to catch. They kept seeing each other, he kept pursuing her, and she would tease him along the way. Enki and Cyra quickly developed a friendly rivalry, which then became romantic. However, they were eventually caught. Cyra was arrested for her multiple crimes, and Enki was discovered as being one of the cursed. It was decided that they would both be sent to Wynn as conscripts. All that Enki can remember is that he is from Fruma, he has magic, and that there is someone back home he knows he loves.
He starts out in Wynn with just a wand and some magic, accompanied by an assassin who introduces herself as Cyra. The two don't recognise one another, but decide to start their journey together. After some time, there's an attack on Detlas by some corrupted soldiers. During the fight Enki takes an attack that would have hit Cyra, and despite being "killed", he gets up and keeps fighting in a frenzy. After the battle he calms down, is able to maintain his mind, but is now partially corrupted. Since people in Wynn don't have the nicest of opinions on corruption he is immediately distrusted. Cyra is able to convince them to trust him, and Enki is allowed to keep acting as a soldier.
The two of them stick together for a little while longer, up until they have a fight. At this point, Cyra has recovered her memories and Enki has been struggling to control his corruption. Their fight is over Enki being careless and Cyra doesn't want to lose him again (although she doesn't tell him that she remembers everything). They end up splitting; Cyra is offered a job with a group of pirates, and Enki wants to keep helping in Wynn.
Over the next few months/years, Enki keeps working as a knight and helping people across Wynn and Gavel. He becomes able to get some amount of control over his corruption and becomes more adept at fighting without magic. He eventually runs into Cyra in Cinfras, who has risen to become a pirate captain. Although Enki still doesn't remember his past with Cyra, their reunion is still quite sweet and sappy. From then on, they keep adventuring together, up until they enter Fruma where nothing goes wrong <3
Which major tarot card do you associate your oc/player character with and why?
For my character, she's the hermit. A person dedicated on their search of her past. Constantly comparing and reflecting on their actions, especially after the events of recover the past. But at the same time, a feeling of emptiness and loneliness lingers.
I love making a good tarot association for characters so this was fun to do!
Enki is well and truly a chariot character, constantly persevering through it all even if he doesn’t know his end goal. The chariot also works for him in a more literal sense; he never stays in one place for too long and has seen most (if not all) of what Wynn and Gavel have to offer.
After seeing the incredible @wassup-its-e do a "wynncraft character as alternative classes" piece with his character Elias, I wanted to do some quick designs for Enki!
Thoughts on which archetypes he would be below the cut:
First up is mage! This one was interesting to think through, since a lot of Enki is shaped around how I've played Wynncraft. I started as a mage but about a year ago tried (and fell in love with) warrior, so that switch formed the main idea for him. The fun thing is that when I first started playing there were no archetypes! Back then I remember it being the same spells across a class, with small power-ups every couple of levels. Because of this Enki has generally stayed as just a vague mage - to incorporate the archetypes into this idea he probably never got to the point of focusing in on one, as his accident was early on into his journey.
Pinning down to a specific archetype is tricky; while light bender opens up a fun "what could have been" had he not become corrupted, rift walker feels like it fits him with the play style. In an alternate universe where he never became corrupted, Enki most likely would have studied up on magic that could help people and settled on a combination of support/healing magic and strong elemental magic to fight with.
With warrior that is a done deal. He is fallen. The only thing I'd add here is that, aside from the boosted abilities, corruption also affected Enki's personality. Not to a major degree - he maintained his want to help, his determination, and other things - but he became much less introverted. It's why my picks for his other classes focus on playing a support/ranged role. If Enki was still corrupted but with a different class the choices would be arcanist, acrobat, boltslinger, and acolyte.
Assassin was entirely a vibes pick, ending up with shadestepper. I don't think acrobat fits Enki as he's not very showy, and there's similar reasoning with trickster too. As an assassin he'd probably prefer more subtler methods? I could also treat assassin Enki as a "role reversal" AU situation, as Cyra (my wife's character and Enki's wife) is a shadestepper assassin.
For archer I went trapper. This one was a toss up between trapper and sharpshooter, because both have an idea of persistence around them. With both, you're being patient and hunting an enemy, whereas with boltslinger you're very much mobile and up close. Enki's overall theme is persistence (always finding his wife, continuing even after death, going even when things get rough, and so on), so the patient archetypes work well for him. In the end I chose trapper because I feel that animals and traps suit him more than sniping.
Oh dear lord shaman. I have absolutely zero knowledge of or thoughts on shaman, and it's why I didn't include labels for each class in the picture. From what I've seen acolyte has a somewhat similar play style to fallen, with your health being a source of power, but for a non-corrupted Enki that doesn't fit. Ritualist doesn't match Enki at all, so that one is out. I suppose summoner could work as it's like trapper? It is very difficult to try and assign an archetype when you've never really played the class before.
The Wynncraft Fruma update recently came out + I've been seeing a lot of people post about their Wynncraft characters, which has caused my character for the game to be on my mind near constantly
Be free my boy <3
His name is Enki! He's a Fruman conscript who was a mage up until an attack caused him to lose his magic and become partially corrupted. After that he switched to using a spear/axe and turned to using his corruption to fight.
Enki is constantly facing the horrors and I love him <3
