Happy World Diabetes day!!!

I’ve been type 1 diabetic for 17 years. Type 1 diabetes (also called juvenile diabetes) only effects 5% of all diabetics. Most people only know about the 95%, type 2 diabetes (also called adult onset diabetes). Doctors to this day still don’t know what causes type 1.

Basically, it’s just a huge pain in the butt. But I’m so thankful for all the advances in medicine that have been made toward making this incredibly annoying disease a little more manageable.
