The last few weeks had left Luna confused, frustrated, and desperate for some conclusion to a long spiral of questions. Luna could feel herself tight like a ball of tense energy. It wasn’t healthy but Luna didn’t know how to feel in a time like this and hadn’t since before.

Her eyes snapped at the blur of motion in front of her, her eyes catching the flash of red hair before seeing anything else.

“Ginny,” she said in surprise but smiled nonetheless. “What are you-it’s so good to see you.”

“What am I doing?” Ginny finished. “Tripping over my own feet. You know, the usual.” She chuckled. Luna looked... tired? Sad? Confused? Ginny didn’t exactly know, but she knew something didn’t seem right. She wasn’t going to push though, after all, when had that ever worked. “You too, it feels like it’s been ages. How are you?”

Harry didn’t always find the time to take a lunch break these days, but they had a few trainee Aurors shadowing today so there were enough people on hand that Harry felt he could comfortably duck out for a moment to try and get some fresh air and food.

His eyes were automatically drawn to head of red hair, just as it pitched forward violently. Ginny then, Harry laughed to himself. He jogged the last few paces until he was in front of her.

“The last time you asked me to lend a hand, you pulled me right into the pond with you,” Harry grinned, leaning down to help regardless.

A grin spread across her face. Ginny didn’t need to look up to know who that voice belonged to. Once, long ago, being in this sort of situation in front of Harry would have been mortifying, but she wasn’t that little kid anymore.

“I still maintain that you fell in.” Ginny replied. It was such an obvious lie, and she knew that Harry knew it, but she wasn’t going to give in that easily. She looked up, finally, still smiling. “No bodies of water around this time, though. I think you’re safe.”

It wasn’t like Ginny didn’t know that she had the tendency to be a little clumsy. She could manage just fine flying, of course, but sometimes it was the simplest things, namely her own feet, that were her undoing.

And that was how Ginny had ended up here, in the middle of Diagon Alley, a scraped knee, her satchel on the ground, and parchment strewn absolutely everywhere.

“Oh. Hello.” Ginny said, not taking her eyes off the clean-up mission in front of her. “Don’t suppose you could lend a hand?”

We were having penne.” Bill laughed “I’m not sure my baking skills are good enough to open a specialised bakery. I didn’t get that part of mum’s genetics.” Bill slung an arm over his little sister. “Maybe I’ll get both. You want one? We can go find somewhere to sit and enjoy a pastry.”

Oh wow.” Ginny winced. “I don’t get kids. Please tell me I was not that weird as a small child, I don’t think I could handle it.” She replied, before laughing as well. “Tragically, neither did I, I’m sure she’s quite disappointed in the both of us. And really, does that question even need asking? If it’s your shout, of course I’ll have one!”

She still didn’t know how her father had convinced her to go shopping for baby clothes, but here they were, shopping for Charlie and Harriet’s rapidly incoming bundles of joy, and Ginny was absolutely out of her depth. “What about these?” She said, holding up a pair of rather adorable, not that she’d admit it out-loud, baby-sized denim jackets. “Think about it, they could match, but we could put different patches on them so we could still tell them apart. And if they took them to playgroup, they’d totally be the coolest looking babies there!”
