SEEK GREATER THINGS

be better, do better. work harder, try harder. accept criticism, ask for feedback. expose yourself to different people, opinions, and beliefs. educate yourself. stay on top of your shit and own up to your mistakes. build valuable relationships. seek only things that help you, not hurt. get rid of everything that is detrimental to your mental and physical health. maximize and optimize the time you have because it is all limited. not later, not next week, now. 

what value will your decision add to your life? do the benefits outweigh the costs? will you come out a better, improved person?

This is vague: Round 2

In constant pursuit of self-improvement, or maybe something greater...

I am several days away from entering my second year of college. Over the past 365 days, I have grown, I have matured, I have loved, I have lost. I have felt on top of the world and I have felt like the world was crumbling beneath me. More than anything, I have learned this: I am miniscule. I am a speck of nothing. In the grand scheme of things, the majority of the work that I might spend hours, days, weeks, months, years on will mean very little. The impact I may think I am making has minimal worth. 

But it’s ok. I will be ok. I am still learning how and why that is. But something tells me it will be ok. This was an anticlimactic piece of writing. I will probably look back on this and laugh. Peace.
