Open Starter Call

“Oh hello! What are you doing here?” The Mistress asks, turning from the piano.

“Are you one of the Doctor’s new pets?” She asks, genuinely curious.

“He doesn’t normally let them near me. I’m somewhat of a troubled case you see. I wonder what’s different about you?” Missy asks herself, standing from the bench and making her way to the edge of her enclosure.

“Why are you here? Would you like to talk? I really don’t have visitors so often- I tend to- ah. Well. Let’s not talk about that right now.” She says, growing quiet.

Open Starter Call

The Mistress sits still, shoulders tight as she curls into herself, hands chained behind her.

She knows that she should be able to escape- there must be some way to escape- but she’s too exhausted and hungry and she just can’t think and they’re going to kill her- they’re going to find the Doctor and they’re going to make him kill her and-

She shivers, shutting down her own voice in her head as it winds on in panic.

There’s noise outside and she turns slightly, wrists burning as the raw skin chafes.

Footsteps.

Not right.

There’s something not right about them.

Missy turns towards where she thinks the door is even though she can’t see in the dark and knows it would be blinding if the door opened.

“Who’s there?” She calls out, voice barely a croaked whisper as her wrists and ankles scream at her.

“Who’s there?” She manages to choke out, louder.

The footsteps stop outside her door- she can hear them.
