A while back I decided to set up an sftp server under my current domain name and I mainly use Windows for desktop shit so I decided to give https://github.com/winfsp/sshfs-win a shot clientside since it seemed fairly popular. Seemed mostly okay except for the part where i couldn't get my sftp connection to authenticate at all. I Shit You Not, i probably spent like half of my night fixing this when I was working on it. it worked completely fine through the windows OpenSSH implementation, i thought "oh maybe sshfs-win playing weirdly with the chroot jail", etc.etc. I was about to just give up and download filezilla when I clicked on a random GitHub issue titled something like "Can you use key-based authentication?" and finally discovered it.

Turns out? when presented with multiple keypairs, sshfs-win - instead of doing the sane thing of just "iterating down the list of keypairs if the first one doesn't authenticate" the way window's OpenSSH (and literally like most other OpenSSH implementations) work" - just hardcodes the key path to be %userprofile%\.ssh\id_rsa. This is, to be clear, really fucking stupid and breaks things for literally so many usecases (using literally anything that isn't RSA like i do, using multiple ssh keys, storing ssh keys anywhere that isn't %userprofile%\.ssh and setting an IdentityFile path in your config, etc.) and also entirely pointless. Renaming my id_ed25519 keypair to id_rsa completely fixed the issue. so fucking stupid.

Anyways speaking of music that tells a story Fox Stevenson's Sunk Cost Fallacy is one of my favorite albums of all time and I would highly recommend checking out the entire thing but these are some of the highlights for me. God I could fucking gush about this album for ages I love it. Killjoy (Album) was great, but sometimes it could feel a little rough around the edges and lacking in cohesion, Sunk Cost Fallacy feels like he's really pinned down his modern style and it shows, a gorgeous tightly wrapped hour long dance house/britpop experience.

Also going to include What Are You (Wow) in this post for being one of the first pieces of music in a very long time that has successfully driven me to tears.

Like don't get me wrong, I love music that tells a story or (especially) is rhythmically interesting. Probably moreso than I do Slop Music:tm:. Some of my favorite albums of all time fall into one of those two categories. But theres a certain fast-food quality to Slop thats nice. Its consistent in its alright-ness. if I put on whatever latest track bbno$ puts out i know that 9 times out of 10 im gonna spend the next 3 minutes listening to him rap about fucking women and making money over a house beat, and it won't be groundbreaking but it'll be good enough, and sometimes that's what im looking for, ykwim

ALRIGHT actual real post time. I am a big fan of flight sim shit like DCS (mostly because planes fucking rule and actually simulating procedures in a decently realistic aircraft model scratches my autism witch in a way unlike any other) but *god* something about the simcadey shit VTOL VR does has been hitting different for me the past few weeks. Maybe it's because sitting in the air and flying a BARCAP orbit in an f-16 in something like DCS or BMS for an hour gets kind of boring, maybe its because VTOL is extremely well polished in terms of its controls and performance and user experience as compared to DCS, maybe its just because im getting tired of the constant drama surrounding DCS, idk. All I know is that flying around in VTOL fucking rules and i need to keep doing it.

(That being said if anyone lurking the vtolvr tag wants to do some flying shit hmu)
