I know its hard with the funding and those social pressures, but having a rollator and a neck fan has made summer about 70% more bearable and accessible for me

Ive actually been debating a rollator or an electric chair! I already get back lash for my cane so i know it would be hard, in a social way. And electric chairs are like 2k$ 🥲 but thank you i might try a rollator soon!

Some people just move on quicker than others so that doesn’t necessarily mean that he cheated, but even if he did, that doesn’t say anything about you.

I know, trust me, i just.. as the one who dated him for 3.5 yrs, i just cant imagine him moving that quickly that fast. But its possible of course.

Really heart breaking i had to say like 3 times to my mom i needed to leave to go home because the heat was making me too sick. (Im a disabled person).

It took her 90 minutes to leave and me asking about 4 times.

Then she tried to stop at a side the road flower sale, then she wanted to pull over to find a rainbow that neither of us could see (bc it didnt exist! it was sunny and raining and she just assumed but there wasnt one!!)

Then i try to explain how its ableist.

She says "STOP. I LOVE YOU. Why are you judging me? And why am i the only one who has to change my behavior you arent perfect!!"

Im truly too close to going no contact out of concern for my physical health and stress. Between this, my grandfather insinuating i can work ans my brother taking PHOTOS OF ME when i jogged across a street in traffic, he did this to show people "proof" i "could be working".

My whole family hates my disabilities.

Please help me avoid becoming homeless again!!

Context since I’ve been posting about it for a bit on and off: I was homeless for a year and have unstable housing, I was able to get a room because the guy said I’d only have to pay half of my deposit, but I owe him the rest of it at the end of the month which totals to $1100. I was charged an NSF fee on my bank of $50 recently because I used Klarna to get groceries a few weeks prior to this. I’ve been trying to get more shifts from my job but still haven’t heard back from them for a week, I’m looking for a second job but I really want to be able to keep this room so I can go back on tesosterone because I wasn’t able to confidently do it when I didn’t have a safe place to shower, etc.

A lot of people have been helping out but I still don’t have enough for rent to secure the room, I have only 20 days to make the goal or I’m back to being homeless again. My partner is able to help feed me sometimes but everyone I know is struggling so any amount helps a shit ton. Please share if you can.

Its disability pride month!

Im 29 and born disabled but it took this long to use a cane. Especially outside. I just wanted to say if youve been wondering about a mobility aid, try it.

The worst thing that happens is you might find you dont use it as much, but one thing i read thats always stuck with me/proven true is "no one who doesn't need a mobility aid is questioning if they need one". Meaning, if you didnt need one the thought wouldnt be there probably

Remember no 2 disabilities are the same and youre a badass 💫
