Beyond Disappointed with MJ's Season Four Explanation
Where is the detail? Where are the individual story lines? We knew Auggie and Ava are forever. That's the detail you give us?? We want to know about Riley, Maya, Lucas, Farkle, Smackle and Zay!
Hello! :) I was wondering if you could pass this on: In order to show further support for Girl Meets World, for the next two weeks, post your favorite quote each day, along with a picture from that episode. I just thought it would be a good way to remember how much the show has taught us.
Make it happen, GMW fam!
Maybe I'm in denial, but I honestly don't want to believe that Wes is dead. I thought that there would be some explanation or plot twist, but I'm left more confused than ever. It was one of my favorite show, so I'm appalled that they did him so dirty like that! Any theories or thoughts? đ
I never thought Wes would turn out to be alive, that would have been too unbelievable to me, given that they showed us his burned body and they showed the medical examiner doing the autopsy and weighing his organs.
My problem is that the perpetrator of the murder came out of nowhere. They were telling one story about the Mahoney trial/the anonymous source/Annalise calling everyone to her house and then they made the murderer someone not even on the radar with no identifiable motive. It just stymies me. They were going for shock and surprise and I get that. It worked season one with Frank because you could understand why he did it and you could believe he would do it for Sam. It didnât work (for me) this season because 1) they retconned that character after season 1 to have a legitimate job and now they made this person a criminal anyway and 2) thereâs no motive I can figure out. Iâd get it if the victim was someone else (one particular person) but not Wes. It just doesnât make sense and it was poor writing and poor storyboarding.
Pete Nowalk has said repeatedly that he doesnât write ahead and he makes decisions as he goes and itâs abundantly clear this is the case at this point and I donât know how I feel about investing my time into a show that will do whatever it wants regardless of what theyâve previously set up/the story theyâve been telling.
I do have theories though. 1) that the murderer is either the enemy of the Mahoney's and there's been a Romeo and Juliet thing going on the entire time. 2) the victim was supposed to be Frank and not Wes and the Hitman got it wrong. 3) this person has been the main antagonist the entire time (as opposed to the Mahoney's).
Pls talk about the HTGAWM finale!
Iâm a little livid about it. Horrible writing. Horrible story telling. The only redeeming part is that Viola Davis is a goddess and I could watch her recite the phone book and be enthralled. Her ending at the meeting was perfection. The Wes reveal was awful- to the point where I may not even watch anymore!
I donât want to post spoilers since it hasnât been 24 hours yet but if you have specific questions please ask!
Let's talk about HTGAWM
Season finale Thursday night! Come at me with your theories!
Anti-honesty hour. Ask me anything and I will respond with blatant lies.
Any plans to continue your Riarkle fanfictions? I love your writing!!!!!!
If I can find time to pick the writing up again I will, but it probably won't be for a little while!
Okey I really hope you answer this because it is kind of a life or death matter. Ive been thinking about going to USA to study (I live in Spain) but I dont know which state would be better. My options are Minnesota, North Carolina and Colorado. Thankss :)
Minnesota is freezing, so keep that in mind. Colorado is in the Midwest, has great skiing etc (depending on where you are). North Carolina is much more temperate and it's a coastal state. You should probably go to the school that has the best program for what you want to study though.
I get not losing hope even if more time passes but I'm looking at the reality that as time passes and the GMW actors book other projects, the likelihood of GMW continuing, the version we know at least, decreases. What do you think?
I think itâs been less than a month and any kind of TV deal is gonna take awhile to iron out. For all we know they have an agreement with another network and are dotting the iâs and crossing the tâs before itâs announced. Things don't happen overnight in show business, especially when it comes to a canceled show being picked up by a new network or platform. There are a ton of moving parts that all have to sync up for it to be viable and that simply takes time.
They wouldnât have approached networks if they werenât sure or at least believed they had a very good shot of getting everyone back that they need (Rowan, Sabrina, BenâŚyou can write around everyone else and if push comes to shove you can even write around Ben as long as he agrees to come back for some episodes).
Sooooo.... at this point I think it's safe to say that gmw isn't getting renewed ??? Wouldn't you ??
Not just yet! At this point no news is still good news when it comes to Hulu and Amazon, and thereâs a brand new post regarding Amazon over at savegirlmeetsworld.com. âşď¸
^^^ This
Do you have any idea at all if MJ is still in talks with platforms or if Disney PR is still trying to do damage control with GMW cancellation?
No idea to the first part of the question (but I think yes is the logical answer and we would hear if talks had ceased for good) and yes to the latter part of the question.
While we wait for an update on the GMW Campaign Ask Me Anything (about GMW, USA and World Events, Other Shows, Books, Movies, My Life etc.)!
How can we be sure our efforts are making an impact beyond customer service reps who are trained to give the same answers - even NETFLIX who has passed still says the same thing? We've heard no insiders saying we're being noticed at all on either side of the fence - the platforms or Disney. I'm not talking succeeding, I'm talking being taken seriously. Inside information leaking and that sort of thing.
So, I think people are expecting some kind of cookie crumbs from execs or something, but thatâs just not how this works most of the time. Part of the reason the paper airplane campaign is SO IMPORTANT is because thatâs physical mail going straight to corporate, so if people havenât gotten around to participating yetâŚnowâs the time!
In general, the only âinside leaksâ youâll get during a save our show campaign are the hard nos (a la Netflix the other week). If the show in question gets successfully rescued in the end, youâll hear about production and whatever specific network/platform being âin talksââŚbut not until within a few days of an announcement, when things are just about settled for sure. Or, youâll hear about talks and then later youâll hear they fell apart. Those are the usual patterns. But talks donât happen and/or they fall apart if demand is not sustained.
So, if people are giving up because Hulu/Amazon/Disney execs arenât telling us whatâs going on, if anythingâŚjust know: thatâs a very bad reason to drop out, especially now, because thatâs just plain not how this usually works. If you wanna save a show, you have to keep making noise and bringing other fans onboard even though execs most likely arenât going to acknowledge you and very little to nothing will leak aside from hard nosâUNLESS/UNTIL someone eventually saves the show in the end.
Thatâs justâŚkinda how it is in MOST cases.
This ^^^. The worst thing for the campaign is giving up because we haven't heard anything. Geez, companies aren't in the business of going to the media with an update every step up the way. Journalists aren't going to care about getting updates every step of the way either. If it's a no we will find out and if it's a yes we will find out.
There's a reason "no news is good news" is a common piece of advice. It's true!
Really because @girlmeetsherworld was saying they used a completely different shot and Riley wasn't even standing where she was standing
Oh my bad, I thought you referring Riley reacting to Smackleâs âyeah youâre no threatâ in Goodbye!
Yeah, I think they changed S16 a little (cc: @girlmeetsherworld)
I feel like people were expecting Riley to have some huge, obvious reaction to farkle and smackle's conversation. It was never big loud or obvious (I've said that since the taping).
What did change was Riley's blocking and the scene itself was a little longer than the version we saw.
All of this has happened before...
NBC, May 2014: *cancels Community*
Entire Community fandom: NOOOOOOO! *bombards Netflix customer service by the thousands with pleas to save the show*
Variety, May 2014: Netflix will not be saving Community.
Community fandom majority: That is not true. There isn't a real source! Don't believe Variety! CS reps say they're gonna make an announcement! Our voices are being heard!
Community fandom minority: Hey everybody, we need to move on and try harder at other places because Netflix is out.
Community fandom majority: NO IT'S NOT *links to Netflix live chat screenshot*
TVLine, June 2014: Talks at Hulu to save Community have broken down.
Community fandom: *gets crazy crazy lucky when Yahoo Screen shows up out of nowhere at the last second*
Netflix: *never did make an "official announcement" about not picking up Community*
Cory Matthews: Learn from the past...
Me: I'm seriously not trying to be mean, nor would I do anything to hurt GMW's chance at a pick-up. Continue to lobby Netflix if you must. I know people aren't gonna let it go. I wanted Netflix as much as any of you, because I wanted what was best for international fans too. But based on past experience and current knowledge I am BEGGING YOU...for every one thing you do towards Netflix, do two each for Hulu and Amazon who have NOT given a hard no on the matter to the press. Because I dunno about you, but even though it's technically possible...I'm not holding my breath for a Yahoo to come out of nowhere in the end.
In conclusion: Do what you want, but seriously? DođNOTđsleepđonđhuluđandđamazonđâźď¸âźď¸
Me: my anger towards Disney is kind of fading now they don't want us that's fine we'll go to a network that does
Danny McNulty: I guess disney channel didn't take too kindly to all the campaigning I did to try and save girl meets world because they cut out the only scene I had in girl meets goodbye.
