Also, I was working at a clothing brand owned by Gina Rinehart for the last 5 months that I came to realise is FULLY enmeshed with One Nation. Didn’t realise the connection when I took the job and also, needed to pay my rent. Every time I see Pauline Hanson looking like a slack-jawed brick-brained dullard on the TV she’s wearing one of the blouses I was paid to attempt to hawk to unsuspecting customers.

Today was my last day and it’s almost hilarious how they worshipped the ground I walked on the whole time I was there. The company was so poorly managed and I think I kind of blew them away with moderate people skills, retail experience and a need to not be shit at my job. No one cared about the business being profitable because everything happened on Gina’s dime it was …. Hysterical to witness.

After getting made redundant last year, trying to find another job has been insane. Literally the most difficult time in my life thus far. I applied for over a hundred jobs from September 25 to March 26. All of which I was qualified for, and then some. Heard nothing from all but 4. Got all 4 jobs that I interviewed for. Because hello get me in for the interview and ye shall be intrigued by the skills and vibes. Turned down 2 of them and am currently using the other 2 against one another to pay me more. Moral of the story is … everyone who didn’t interview me sucks because transit of property proves that you would have hired me had you interviewed me. And, god damnnnnnn getting a job at the moment is difficult as hell. But perseverance is the key but I have been so close to giving up many times. Keep trying to learn from what you’re doing with applications. Talk to people who do things that you want to do, how did they get the job? Research! It is not an impossible task! Even though, by design, it feels like one.
