it's so interesting to me how different marco and ace's childhoods are... i know a lot of people like to headcanon that marco had earlier trauma that he went through maybe before whitebeard but at least in canon it's really interesting that it seems like he just... didn't and that he's been surrounded by a loving and supportive family with money and resources ever since he was young. like of course he's strong of course he's smart look at all that he's had in life. i imagine to ace that marco must look like the luckiest person in the world

#it's why i love the idea of ace meeting a younger marco... i feel like he would resent him a bit for how carefree and glib he could act #with all the love and support he always had... with no thought of how that could be taken away #i feel like ace cld adapt quickly to being on his own in a dangerous situation and no backup otw but a younger marco would flounder at firs #okayyyy anyways back to work -_-
