I spend every episode of The Fire oscillating between "Aw they're soulmates" to "Fai shut the fuck up". I want to strangle Fai at least three times each episode. This show is raising my blood pressure.

She looked so good this episode it almost distracted me from her many crimes.

Fai was a "bad" kid and that is fully the fault of her father and aunt. She needed parenting and I dont mean corporal punishment.

Her father should have sat down and talked to her about Kaphrao's situation. Explained why she had to stay with them and reaffirmed that fact that he loved her and she she the most important person in his life. He shouldn't have tried to force Kaphrao on Fai leading her to think of the poor girl as a burden.

And when she did act out the punishments should have been proportional to the infractions. He also should have got her far, far away from that aunt. If he stepped in sooner alot of Kaphrao's trauma could have been avoided.

In defense of young Fai. If my father neglected me for years then showed up one day with a "little sister" who he showers with endless praise and affection while everything I do gets criticized I'd act out too. Especially if I had an evil aunt poisoning my mind. Her father set Kaphrao up for failure.
