                                   i’m willing to open this rp even if there are as few as 3 applicants, as long as there is a m/s balance. like i said my goal with this is quality of interaction, rather than quantity. so if you’re interested in putting in the effort definitely let me know. i will stay open to it until sunday, 29th. so ten more days.

sorry for all the questions but is the entertaintment industry any different in this au? Focusing on musicians in particular.

                                   hey, of course, don’t worry about it. i think that it’d be a lot more common for masters to perform as a career, very few, extraordinary and rare exceptions would be made for slaves by their owners. in either case, though they could of course be trained from early on, this is something they would only pursue after a preparatory academy like Carmel, and earning their full Master title, and or being claimed by their final owner. just like it’d happen for any other profession, and because it would not be well seen, or common, or even permitted for children or teens to work. they’re a society very focused on education, and until that’s finished, they don’t go for other things. it can definitely be a dream and a goal though!

how do they receive notification that they've been accepted into Carmel?

                       They wouldn’t be personally contacted, they would know through their guardian, aka the leading Master of their household, whether that is their parent Master or just the Master of the family they belong to. In exceptional circumstances, aka a lone Master which would be VERY rare, they would then get a letter from the Academy!

Building my bio now- but if a family was one of the old wealthy familes would it be possible for them to pay for the illegal test and raise the firstborn Master as a heir of sorts?

                                definitely! that’s a lot of how my james’s background goes. just try if you can to leave it vague on what happened to the others, so other interested players can write in their own insight to it!

                               another thing that i wanted to put out there, is that, because of the way this world and the society in it function, any type of romantic monogamous relationship take a very last place in the lives of characters. most in fact don’t do them at all, it’s considered weird. so while jealousy is always jealousy in any human interaction, it doesn’t hold the same weight or significance here. like i said this is about exploration which means the idea is for characters to try MANY different things and people, and frolic around quite a bit before any kind of settling down. that isn’t to say you CAN’T, but it’s just something to keep in mind. like, it wouldn’t be normal, or even acceptable, for your character to be pissed off because another was flirting with them and now is flirting with someone else in public. that isn’t the vibe here.

are siblings allowed different names than the ones on the list?

                                    i’d prefer not just because those were researched by meaning, or language/country of origin, or have some other core reason to be that way. HOWEVER, if you really favor something else, you can send it in on the app and i’ll let you know! i’ve made exceptions in the past, and i can do it again if it’s a deal breaker for you. i’ll only ask you to really stick to the list if i feel it’s a name that clashes too harshly with the family. like say giving a fabray an asian name or something like that.

                               i wanted to talk a little about my idea for this, and, my idea for this rp would be to focus on relationships and kinks / scening. i want to provide a stable solid world, so that the only or main concerns of the rping lie on exploring scenes, d/s techniques, dynamics, different kinks, and developing relationships, not only sexual / romantic, but familial and friendships. that’s what i’m looking for, a chill adult environment, with some planned group events here and there for fun, and a major focus on writing and interactions with as many different characters and writers as possible. 

so basically, less drama, and more writing and exploring d/s and mature themes. if that sounds like something you’d like, come take a look and send an app my way.

What families would be best if we wanted to play someone who came from wealth?

                             i think that theoretically you could make of any family background what you wish. there are ways to work it and keep characterization. that being said, the ones that give me that feeling from canon would be: Clarington, Fabray, Smythe, Wilde, Anderson, Sterling, Duval and Motta.

                          SO, i’ve decided to do this. i miss glee rping, i miss playing an m/s relationship, and i miss having a community like this. so i’ll open for auditions for 2-3 weeks, depending on how it goes, and see who’s interested. my idea is that this would be relaxed but also dedicated, so quality over quantity.
