❤ Welcome to the official tumblr of glee|CON 2013! Fan-created and fan-organized, glee|con is a convention for Glee fans to unite and celebrate the show we love so dearly. On November 1st through the 3rd of 2013, the convention will be held at the Ramada Bloomington Minneapolis Airport Mall in Bloomington, Minnesota, just two blocks away from the Mall of America, and two miles away from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport! In addition to the chance to meet fellow Glee fans and create lasting friendships, various convention activities will be available to attendees. You’ll be able to attend various fandom-based panels and discussions, sell or buy fan-created artwork, jam out to fans singing their hearts out during Glee karaoke and singing contests, as well as participate in a charity auction or attend a Glee inspired prom night! Every activity is designed with fans in mind, and attendees will have the opportunity to experience them all with other Glee lovers from all across the globe. Seriously, I will sell my soul for this and if I don’t go I don’t know what I would do with my life anymore. I might actually cut my arm out and ship it to Minnesota just so at least a PART of me can go.

So as some of you may know, Ashley and I have been very close for over a year now. We love each other, she’s one of my best friends and it pains me that the two of us are so far apart. But - as some of you may know, the Glee Con is happening. It’s happening right near my Ashley and the two of us are thinking this is the perfect chance for us to meet!
So, Ashley and I had devised a little project called Tears for Travel. Ashley is going to sell stickers and shirts and phone cases and shit on her redbubble and we’re going to use that to try to go to Glee Con and meet!
So, if you enjoy blangst like Ash and I do and you want crying Blaine on your iPhone cases and t-shirts check out her redbubble, buy a thing or two and you will have your blangst items AND put me and my Ashley one step closer to meeting!!

So I have been seeing a lot of posts about finding someone to go to glee con with so I thought I would post my own to see if I could help/ someone could help me. SO I really want to go, but I have no friends who are into glee so I would be going alone unless someone else was willing to go with me. I live in Saskatchewan Canada ( And as of yet I have never talked to someone on tumblr who is also from here :( ) and I am 19. so if there is anyone close by ( or even not that close) that wants someone to go with send me a message and we can talk! I would really like to go, but the thought of going alone terrifies me lol. Thanks!
I would really, really like to go to Glee-Con. I live in California, but my parents would let me go to Minneapolis if I had someone to go with.
That’s my whole problem, however. I don’t have anyone to attend with. None of my friends are Glee fans, and none of them would want to go to Minneapolis. Besides that, I’d need an adult if I went alone, and the only available one would rather chew off her head than attend that with me (especially after Bye Bye Bye/ I Want It That Way.).
So I guess what I’m asking, or pleading for, is a friend who’s willing to work with me to maybe get me (maybe even us, if you’re in a similar jam. I’ll do ANYTHING. I want to go, and if you are in the same position, please contact me, we’ll work it together) to Glee Con! You don’t have to pay for me at all, I can spot all of that, but it’d be cool to have a companion and friend to be there with.
I didn’t get anything for my birthday, all I really asked my mom for was this, and for her to consider this. If I can show her that there will be someone there waiting for me, and someone for me to have fun with, she’ll almost definitely say yes. I plan to get some type of job, or do something for money, so I promise I’ll have all cash needed. I’m a pretty trustworthy person, so if you’re even kind of willing to talk to me about this PLEASE.
So, please, any klainers, please please please PLEASE come talk to me if this is doable for you.

We are excited to announce that glee|CON does have a special room rate and block reserved for all attendees who plan on spending the weekend with us at the Ramada. The Ramada is a great hotel with a great location! They are currently completely remodeling the entire inside and will feel like a brand new hotel once glee|CON rolls around! The hotel has a wonderful newly updated bar and cafe, two pools (indoors and out), a beautiful lounge area, and plenty of free parking. The hotel has a 24/7 complimentary shuttle to and from the airport located only two miles away. The Ramada is located only 2 blocks away from one of the largest malls in America which features fun attractions such as, Nickelodeon Universe, Sea Life Aquarium, and LEGO land. There are over 520 stores to shop at and over 50 places to dine!

To make a reservation, please call the Ramada 952-854-3411 or 1-800-328-1931 and let them know you you are reserving a room with glee|CON by using the code “CGGLEE”.
At this time, the Ramada cannot process our group reservations using their online system via their website. They are working on resolving that issue and we will update when we get more information. Until then, feel free to call and reserve a room! Rooms are limited in our group block, so be sure to call as soon as possible!
And yes, there is free high speed internet all around the hotel and convention area. :)

word of advice to keep the peace, keep Klaine and Kadam VERY FAR away from each other. Because Klainers have....fallen out of favor with most of the rest of the fandom.
We are a very accepting and positive place and all ships are welcome. We encourage people to put aside their differences and get to know each other for who they are and not what they ship. Ship bashing is not tolerated, and while people are entitled to their opinions.. if a person gets out of hand and are actually bullying others over a character they like of a ship they ship.. (which we hope doesn’t happen), they will face consequences such a warning and if repeated, their convention badge taken away.
if I were you...I would put finchel and faberry fandom rooms very very very fart away from each other....lol

"10 and Under Registration: If you are a parent or guardian attending glee|CON with a child under the age of 10. Please add this registration to your order for each child attending. Children under the age of 10 are admitted free into convention space with a registered parent or guardian. This registration includes everything a regular registration does with a special badge card that includes contact information in case of separation or emergency. All children 10 or under must have this badge for admittance."
