I enact who I am through how I am as a person in the different roles I play and through my style that as much as it tends to vary usually consists of a hint of punk style. In my established roles I constantly perform in front of others. At school, I perform my role as a college student in front of my colleagues and teachers. When I am jogging there’s people walking their dogs, eating in restaurants and so forth. The roles as student, as jogger, friend, and colleague are some of the different roles I play.  My role as student and colleague support each other as both are in the same context with people playing the same roles as me. My role as a friend interacts and conflicts with my roles as student and colleague because some of my colleagues are my friends and sometimes I am very busy studying and I might see a friend in the library which can be very distracting and cause procrastination. Some of my identity is physically defined because when I am jogging I wear sweats, running shoes and a jacket whereas at school I switch up my style daily sometimes I dress casually, usually I wear something somewhat fancy or nice so that it makes me feel more confident and in a better, happier mood. Normally I wear eyeliner too school since it makes me feel more awake but when I am at home or I am jogging I am completely natural. Therefore, my identity depends on my physical aspect because my mood is affected by what I wear whether it’s eyeliner or nice clothes.

Easter celebration with family friends at the Park :)

I think the setting is aesthetic as we were in the park celebrating Easter and nature is completely aesthetic. The interaction between the people, from the little kids playing to people getting Easter eggs, can be seen as aesthetic, as well, but also as documentary and the everyday/commonplace. In fact, I also saw the parents making food, everyone chatting with one another, and having a great time with family and friends. To me the most interesting thing is the decisive moment because when you take a photograph in the right moment it could become a great photograph. I photographed the event when it was just starting and during the event. The before aspect reveals my friends and family setting up for the Easter celebration in the park. Whereas, during the event represents everything being ready and everyone celebrating, chatting, relaxing and having fun. The after would then represent the cleaning up, picking up everything, saying our goodbyes and going home. The photographer ultimately decides what the decisive moment is and how it is defined and selected because the photographer is the one that takes the picture and frames it the way he/she wants to. Looking at the photographs during the event reflects what happened that day, on the other hand, when one looks at the photographs after the event it becomes a mere memory. There could be a lack of objectivity in this process based on what the photographer wants to take pictures of and of whom. If the photographer loves nature’s aesthetics then it is more likely the photographer will take more photographs of nature rather than photographs of other things. In the end, objectivity does matter as the photographer takes pictures of what he/she wants and so therefore the viewer sees only what the photographer liked or wanted to take a photograph of.

I see photographically because I like to frame or angle my photographs a certain way before taking them, and I also focus on what type of perspective I want to include in my photograph. To see in the way I do means that I focus on how I will take a photograph usually before taking it, as well as the fact that, I tend to take a picture of aesthetics and if not I try to make it more aesthetic by how I frame, angle or take the picture. If I see any aspect of nature that I like then I take a picture of it; If I am at an event that I want to keep a photo memory of I snap a picture; If there is something strange or rare going on, then I might as well take a picture of that. A shift of vision may tend to occur, depending on the photograph, if it is already interesting I don't have to make it more aesthetic than needed. I am assuredly, not alone in this ability to see “photographically” in my circle of friends or family, we may have different ways of ‘seeing’ but some of us do think about how we want the picture to turn out before we take it, so that in this aspect one is seeing photographically. Photographic vision can be beneficial in that one can express themselves even more through their photographic art, make it more like we want the picture to come out, have it be more aesthetic. However, photographic vision can be detrimental in that it takes longer to take a photograph if you want to think about how you want the photo to look beforehand. In fact, if there is an interesting moment that one wants to capture and if one doesn't take a picture of it right away one misses the chance.
