“Hey there, you alright? How can I help you?” The King asked kindly towards the other who had approached.
Hands come together, warm smile coming about Beverly’s face as she looks over at the other.
“ Ah--Yeah ! I’m fine, I’m just uh.. trying to find my client I -- got a bit turned around. ”
Being in a new place, it was easy to get lost.

“I really don’t believe you, but alright.”
Hearing that she also got some nearby jobs, he gave a small nod. Really he was glad that Bev was getting work here and there as well. He gave a small nod before looking up at the sky a bit to look at their shattered moon.
“Yeah, I finished for today, I’m planning into going to the middle of town tomorrow to get some new ones.”
“ Aw ! Don’t say that, would I LIE to you, Alex ? ”
Beverly asks, though they both knew that she’d fibbed to him a FEW times, nothing major of course. This also being a bit of a fib, it wasn’t women's intuition that brought her here--nor was it following him, it was simply fate that had brought them together ( yet again ).
“ I just finished with my jobs myself, I’ve gotta go find some new ones tomorrow, too. ”
How... coincidental, maybe they could do some jobs together ! Ya’know, for old times sake.

"Is there something I can help you with or are you just looking? I am stunning I know, But that stare is a little much."
Ah jeez, she got caught staring it seems ! How.. unlucky. The brunette blinks thrice, hands waving into the air in an almost flustered manner.
“ Nono !! Sorry, sorry !! I was just looking at your hair. It’s very pretty !! ”

“Yeah I guess so huh? Was stuck with you for a few years.”
Even though it sounded like an insult of some sort, it really wasn’t. He always hid the true meaning of his words in his insults. His words never came out how he wanted them too, and he just didn’t care enough to fix what he said. Thinking over her question he gave a small shrug. Alex never was a picky eater, hell he just never really ate compared to his teammates. Small portions were more then enough for him.
“Just pick whatever you want, don’t really care.”
“ You say that like it’s a BAD thing ! ”
Of course, Beverly was just pulling his leg--she knew he didn’t really mean to insult her. He just... didn’t have as good a way with words as others... and that’s okay ! She wasn’t the type to hold anything against HIM of all people. Head tilts to the side somewhat as he gives a shrug of the shoulders, leaving her to pick the place they eat ? How... like him. WELL ! Such a thing was no problem for the girl, she had just a place in mind.
“ I think I saw a nice looking pizza place not too far from here. That work ? ”

“How did you know I was here?” And before she could even complain about it, he dropped the cigarette and put it out by stepping on it. A small sigh escaping his lips, he couldn’t really be talked out of the idea of Bev having some sort of radar to tell her were he was.
“Did you get some jobs around here as well?”
“ Hmmm....... Call it a women's intuition of the sort ! ”
Words would be said with a certain optimistic tone, a very Beverly like tone--almost like she’s joking but there’s still a certain bit of seriousness with it. She’s got her hands on her hips and watches him closely as he drops his cigarette and put it out, truthfully she was just in the right place at the right time, but she wouldn’t tell him such a thing so easily.
“ Mhhhm ! I’ve picked up a few odd jobs around here. By the sound of it, I’m guessing you did too ? ”

“That so? I thought it was just the smell that bothered people.”
He knew the true answer, but it wasn’t something he wanted to hear. He knew how she felt about his bad habits, how she wanted him to live even if it was the last thing he wanted to do. She was annoying at times with it, with trying to help himself improve mentally. Though he also didn’t hate her for it, it felt nice every once in a while to know someone cared for him. Even if his mind didn’t let him believe it for long. Pushing himself off the wall, he turned his back towards her and started walking.
“Then keep up, I’m actually hungry for once.”
“ Well the smell IS pretty bad too. ”
She knows that he’s just skipping around the true answer--she knows it, he knows it, they both knew it. But even so, she’d play into what he was currently saying. Technically though, he wasn’t wrong the smell WAS rather bad, it stuck on his clothes and his person.. and overall was just gross. Beverly couldn’t be there for him all the time as a ( potential ) sort of positive influence, but when she could--she’d give her all to keep him from doing anything too stupid. Blinking thrice as he pushes himself off the wall and began to walk without a word, taking a few quick steps in his direction so she could follow after him as he told her to keep up.
“ Keeping up ? You know that’s not hard for me. Where’re we goin’ ? ”
“ I’m not going to let you die ! ”

“If it’s the smell, these don’t smell as bad.”
Though he knew he was being a bit of a smart ass, really if it wasn’t for Beverly back then. He would of picked up the bad habit sooner. However, he also knew his ex-partner. She was a lot tougher on him compared to the others, and he knew why too. She hated seeing him how he was, hell he hated it too and they both knew this. Yet he couldn’t escape his inner battle, the battle that occurred over and over every day. She wanted him to live, and yet, he didn’t have the will to do so. Sighing a bit, he just gave her the one.
“The rest are for later. Alone.”
“ It’s not the smell, you know it’s not the smell. ”
Beverly would reply, she knew her ex-partner almost as well as she knew herself. She knew the way he was... his antics... the fact that he wanted to die. But she wouldn’t let him leave that easily, she hated seeing him do things to destroy himself--and wanted to do as much as she could to keep him from doing it. A sigh and a raised brow would be the brunettes first reaction when he only handed her one of the cigarettes. Nope, not good enough. Visibly, she shakes her head, all while stuffing the cigarette he did give her in her pocket.
“ Guess that means I’ll have to keep you from being alone. ”

Beverly holds out her hand, a small unamused on her face as she watches the boy attempt to sneakily light up a cigarette--but it would take far more than just a little sneaking to keep her from catching on.
“ Give me your cigarettes. ”
