It’s official now. I’ve been roleplaying off and on for exactly one year now. It’s had a whole lot of bumps and hiatuses, and some (really) bad experiences. But overall, it’s been a pretty fun ride, and I’ve met some really great people who trump the bad ones.
I’ve definitely learned a whole lot about as I’ve stuck around. My first interactions were trash. Godmoddy and terrible. I could’ve wrote the book on how not to do that crap back then. Yeah, it was bad, I admit it. It wasn’t until I created @glimmerwicz that I think I actually started to become good at this, and had a clear view of what I wanted to do.
I think I really struck gold with this blog though, scorching-queen. I love playing a bad guy, even though I think I subconsciously try to make her ‘good’ sometimes too often. The follower and thread count I think reflects this. It’s an absolute blast to play her too. It’s almost liberating to play her you know? GLaDOS and Glimmer are serious, this one can sometimes just be a mustache twirling villain kind of deal, and that’s okay.
Even better, my first muse @gladospony has also improved with time as well. I’ve fleshed out the Caroline portion of her, and I’ve improved her into a character that could still feasibly exist within the scope of MLP, while still retaining her petty, sarcastic little attitude and her egotistical demeanor.
I’m also well aware that are certain people who don’t like me and wish I’d disappear (and are possibly trying to make that happen, through gossip and whatnot), and well… too bad. I’m not going anywhere, I have a decent following (well over 250 for all three), and friends who are there for me. Most importantly, I’m not stooping to that level. Go be petty somewhere else if that describes you.
As for my friends, and yes, you know who you are, and I don’t say this enough, but: thank you. For supporting me, roleplaying with me, and staying through thick and thin. It means a whole lot to me. Sorry in advance if this “thank you” seems lame… but I’m afraid I’m not really good with compliments like this. Just please know, I really appreciate you guys, and it’s one of the reasons I stick around here more than anything.
Here’s to another year, guys.
