So today a friend made a joke about catching herpes...... idk how to feel about it

And I’m currently hating myself. Everyone always told me to lose my virginity to someone I trusted and knew, and I had drunk sex with a friends cousin and got herpes. I should’ve listened 😭

so let me tell y’all my story

I was a virgin, I’ve definitely made out w tons of guys but never ever let it get farther than that. St Patrick’s day came around, I got super drunk. Hardly remember the night. Had sex with this dude in his car, woke up the next morning with a blister on my mouth. Went to the doctor two days later, got some blood work done. Called me about a week after explaining I had herpes.

Can’t blame the guy right, I could’ve caught it from anyone. Never thought I needed to get tested for STD’s after making out w someone.

Now im just learning how to live with it. Completely terrified to tell anyone I know. Feel like this was my fault for letting it happen, I should’ve known better.
