I.. Honestly, I kind of miss my bedroom already.
Me too Harps.
“Yeah, tell me about it. Yikesus.”
“Reckon you had a quiet summer?”
It wasn’t a loud summer.
You?
“Me too.”
“What were you doing all summer? You got a bit… more silent than usual at the end of last year.”
I... I don’t know. Not a lot to say I guess?
“That’s better, Gully.” Toby laughed, cheeks dimpling. “How was your summer?”
It was... warm.
Not much happened I guess. What about you?
I could be a train.
It seems unlikely, but then again I’m shit at transfiguration.
I’m still riding on the initial burst of energy I get after I leave the train.
The train is very energetic.
“Come on, cheer up… You’ve only been back for one day.”
It’s not so bad I guess.
“And loud.”
“Are you looking forward to or dreading the feast?”
Food. Yes.
“Er—’bout the same, actually. Always forget how rough the feast day is.”
There are so many people.
Classes haven’t even started.
Do you disagree then?
“You alright, mate?”
Yes-- just tired.
What about you?
This is all so exhausting.
Gulliver: I haven't seen you anywhere. I don't know where you are but I would assume a bird could figure it out. Come find me. – Ophelia
Ok.
justification ; ophelia & gulliver
Ophelia’s stars were cartoonish, five pointed things that were spinning one direction for a few seconds, and then the other. It didn’t strike her for a surprisingly long while that this is not what stars look like, because she felt like she was in a dream. She was lying down, still, almost paralyzed with tranquillity, and only looking at what was in her direct line of sight. But the air was cold, and so she wondered.
“Are we in a dream?” she whispered, not taking her eyes off of the tottering white stars that were starting to grow in size. She tried to reach her arm out to tap him, but she found herself either unable or not willing enough to do so. And she’d only felt that in a dream. She turned her head left to look at Gulliver. Some of the smaller stars had fallen on to his face.
“The strangest things always happen with you,” said Ophelia, hardly thinking as she reached out to brush the stars off of Gulliver’s cheek. They were stuck on her hand, now, and gradually absorbing all the color from her fingers first, then her palm, then her wrist, then climbing up her arm…
“I don’t feel safe lying down, Gully. Help me sit up.”
“Okay,” Gully wasted no time in standing up and pulling Ophelia with him. The spot on his face where she brushed him still tingled.
Movement felt strange, almost like his body was trailing behind his intentions. Like there was a delay between his brain and the real world. Nonetheless, he made it all the way up to standing.
“I feel so odd,” he said. His voice seemed to be getting further away, down some tinny tube. At this point Gulliver couldn’t say wether or not it was enjoyable; it was all just so foreign. It increased in intensity with every passing second (year). His mind was the rising treble, and he was just waiting for the bass to drop.
“Don’t worry about me.. I’m not going to get in any sort of major trouble.”
“Business?”
I do rounds outside. It’s probably best that you don’t tell anyone.
“Don’t you want her here? Squibs only stay in Hogwarts because of the ties they have here and you’re hers. There’s no reason for her to stay if you don’t want her to.”
Wouldn’t you want your family with you?
