Ok, you know what? No. Brownie points to Cher. She publicly announced her love and acceptance of her SON and yeah some people would call that “the minimum requirement” of decency, but as someone whose mother gushes about her acceptance in private and sometimes uses gender neutral terms for me (not the male ones I prefer) but aggressively misgenders me in public to keep things from being “awkward”, cher’s public acknowledgement and expression of her love and acceptance for her son is a big deal. Yes this SHOULD BE the bare minimum of parental decency, but right now it’s not and I’m glad to see Chaz and Cher showing the world that this is the way things are supposed to be.

Remote activism opportunity: Prevent TACA (Talk About Curing Autism) from receiving $10,000!
Tilly’s Life Center is one of four finalists in the Be The Change Competition. It is up against Talk About Curing Autism, among two other organizations. Therefore, we need as many people as physically possible to vote for Tilly’s (and basically anything else but TACA, but Tilly’s seems the most compelling) instead.
The website says you can vote once per day, but I found a way to vote as many times as you want.
1. Go to torproject.org to download and install the TOR browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, or Android. (TOR is not related to torrents or any spyware, it’s just a way to protect yourself from hackers and government spying. It’s essentially a network of proxy servers.)
2. Open the TOR browser and paste the link into the address bar - http://www.shecklerfoundation.org/be-the…/tillys-life-center
3. Click the green “Vote Now” button with a check mark next to it.
4. A small pop-up should appear. Click OK to finalize your vote.
5. Close TOR browser. Return to step 2. Repeat until tired.
We only have until 2 November to vote so please spread the word! We do NOT want TACA to win.
