@glorious-evolution-rp-blog
Guys, I'm sure I have a reputation somewhere in this fandom: So what is it? Leave that in my ask box as I ponder over this.
(( Alright you know what gibe questions
I'm gonna draw stuff ))
Closing the Door
The dimming of the purple light is a signal, of sorts, that she can relax and focus on bigger issues. She nods as Viktor turns his gaze away. “He’s been there for some time now,” she adds, giving voice to the gesture.
As Viktor dons his mask, she suppresses a shiver. This was more like it. Sad to say and sadder to see, but this was far more like it. The man and the machine, one and the same, united in purpose. Strong and dedicated and unshaken. Caitlyn gives a small smile from under her hood, then nods as he makes for the door.
"… wait."
She kneels, quickly untying the drawstrings of the bag.
"I can’t be seen with you. It’s… too dangerous. Always has been. So, on the off chance that we are spotted…" She stands, a mask in her hand, close to the design of his own; he might even remember making it. "Maybe they’ll think I’m one of your acolytes."
Caitlyn slips the mask on, quickly, and it’s almost a relief to feel cold steel concealing her flesh, hiding her expressions. She adjusts her cloak, with a sweep of it she heads outside, checking the streets as she waits for the inventor to lock up his home, then leads the way through the alleys to where her hexbike is stored.
What’s in the bag can certainly wait. But what he might think of it will certainly hang in an awkward silence, she’s sure of it. She pulls the bike from out of hiding , seats herself, and revs the motor. There’s work to be done.
He barely pauses as she asks him to wait. "That was the idea last time, was it not?" He did indeed remember, it would seem.
Not that Caitlyn would be able to see it, but there was a hint of a smile underneath that mask. It was just a disguise to her, he knew, but he allowed himself to entertain the idea that one day it would not be.
The alternatives were not quite so appealing.
He locks the door behind them, stowing the key in some sort of compartment on his person; an alternative to pockets, it would seem. As he does so often, he finds himself wondering why so many people - even those who should be able to understand it - rejected the idea of his evolution completely out of hand, though he doesn't say much on the matter.
In fact, he remains fairly quiet as he follows her; not out of any particular need for stealth in his home city-state, but rather because he finds himself with little to say, at least in terms of what could be said out in the open.
He waits politely for her to retrieve the bike; then approaches hesitantly and clambers on behind her in the awkward manner of someone who has some understanding of how the vehicle works but has clearly never actually ridden one.

(( Already answered, but he regards any sort of failure as an embarrassment. ))

(( Well, it's not exactly surefire, but he is occasionally lucid enough to be horrified by the batshittery he comes up with during one of his bouts of inspiration.
Another tricky one. When he starts to get riled up, the crazy train tends to keep going until he runs out of steam. However, he can nearly always be reasoned with, even if he is frequently operating on Viktor Logic instead of Actual People Logic. ))
♟ ☂ ♭ was debating putting more but these will probably the most interesting out of them.
(( Using jealous in the actual sense of "jealous" rather than "envious," he guards his work rather jealously. So, implying that you could use it, or do something better with it, or otherwise take it will definitely suffice.
Bringing up any sort of emotional outburst that he's had in the past is a pretty surefire way to embarrass him.
He tends to outright deny it or otherwise not show it, but pointing out any sort of flaws in his designs, or remaining bits of humanity, actual or imagined. ))

Dark Souls!
(( Playin’ some Dark Souls II now. Gonna die lots. ))
((PC port or console? I’m trying to find out if the PC port is any good or not so I can find out if it’s worth buying.))
(( My experience so far is that performance-wise it in infinitely better-optimized, but if you're playing with a mouse and keyboard, the controls are pretty much just as bad as the first game (though changing them is easier). I'm not far enough to speak for difficulty, but I've heard a lot of people say they found the bosses really lame and pattern-based. Then again, for the most part they were heavily pattern-based in the first game, so I'd take that with a grain of salt. ))
I'm thinking short circuiting, or drowning, possibly.
Repeatedly wading through the river on Summoner's Rift and being subject to Nami's assaults had quickly inspired some waterproofing. But metal, however strong, was heavy, and despite his attempts at waterproofing, he was not meant to be submerged for this long. He might not have needed to breathe as much at an unaltered human, but he still needed to breathe. His third arm shut off; safety measures as water seeped into the joints, but he could still walk, for now.
Everything looked the same down here. Whatever navigation systems he had in place seemed to be malfunctioning. Dizziness took him as he still refused to open his mouth. Thoughts on ventilation systems, thoughts on how to solve his dependance on oxygen came to him, but down here, so far from his lab, they were useless. Focus, he demanded of himself, but he couldn't focus. His legs had ground to a halt without his noticing. By the way his chest now spasmed, he must have opened his mouth, but his mind was too far removed from the situation to panic. He thought vaguely of Nautilus as his vision shut off.
(( 10/10, as long as you could keep him submerged. Like throwing him in a lake. ))
How would you attempt to kill my Muse?
I will rate how effective it would be on a scale of 0-10
(( I have totally been neglecting this blog for the past like, week or something, but I've just been so completely out of it for the past couple of days. I won't subject you guys to the details, but man do I ever need a good night's sleep. ))
(( Quietly considers making another blog with a more approachable muse. I love Viktor to bits but the way I write him it's hard to start things with him, sometimes. ))
Closing the Door
"Yes… it’s April. Half way through it, as a matter of fact." She hesitates, quickly dismissing the idea of asking if he got her Harrowing invitation, or the Snowdown card. Useless sentimentality… and he probably never received them, in any case. Just leave it. He has a lot more on his mind.
Caitlyn manages a small smile to see a little bit of life and determination in his face and movements. It amazes her, that he’s managed to replicate - even improve upon - his previous work and research to make a construct that is practically alive. There was never any doubt in her mind that he was a genius, even if his perspective is somewhat askew. His heart is in the right place, and he knows what he’s doing.
But that the Institute hasn’t reacted to this construct’s presence is unsettling. They have to know; they must. So why, then, would they just… let it be?
Her attention is drawn by the purple glow of hextech, and she stands up a little straighter as he turns back to her, illuminated by the glow. Were this not a run-down lab and he not a man who had little to his name, this might have been a very inspiring scene. Caitlyn inclines her head, planning to step aside to let him pass, but she pauses at the mention of the bag. So much else had happened that the original purpose of her visit had almost slipped her mind. She glances down to her burden, then back at him.
"… I wouldn’t say ‘trouble’, but…" She takes a short breath and lets it out in a huff. "… your project just…" She gives a hunch-shouldered shrug, feeling uncomfortable. "… It can wait." She clears her throat, pushing that aside so she can sound a little more authoritative, a little more confident. "He - it - is a very convincing facsimile of you, Viktor, and I think it would be best if we dealt with him as soon as possible. It’s a day’s journey to the Institute from here; let me come with you. I’ve a hexbike that can seat two and it should make the journey quicker.”
Viktor frowns, bright yellow optics studying her. Clearly, it has given her trouble, but she isn't saying what. Emotional trouble? He had never been good at dealing with that through more primitive methods; his own 'troubles' had been the very first thing he had set out to repair. He flicked a switch somewhere, and the hex core dimmed to nothing. No reason to leave it on, here.
"That is where it is now, then?" He spoke, turning his gaze to the broken arm on the table. "Best we leave now, then, before it causes problems anywhere else." No, he wouldn't be able to finish repairs while riding along on a hexcycle, would he? Gears turned, literal and metaphorical as he began making alternate plans to deal with his rogue creation. "...Whatever is in that bag can wait."
He took several purposeful strides toward to door--And stopped abruptly, still several feet away. Something was missing.
His face.
The herald turned around, retrieving it from where it lay on the floor. He scarcely remembered throwing it across the room, or even why he'd done it, but now that he'd noticed, he felt unbearably exposed. Even though he trusted Caitlyn to be discreet, he still felt somehow embarrassed.
He pulled the mask on, and as he turned around, every trace of weakness and doubt seemed to have vanished from him. His creation would not best him a second time.
"Onwards."
