A Poem for the Netjeru
Ra is with you in the Sun, and Khonsu in the moon, Shu is in the air you breathe, and water is Tefnut, Geb's the ground on which you stand and Nut, the starry skies, Isis is a mother's gaze into her daughter's eyes.
Nephthys is he one who lulls a restless eye to sleep, And Thoth's the one with words with which you always write and keep. Horus shall protect the weak, inspiring noble kings, And Set's the force that compels you to stand for rightful things.
Sekhmet is the Wrath of Ra to those who dare do wrong, Osiris is the king of those who have sung all life's songs. Sobek, Min and Bastet stand for fertile land and womb, And Anubis will prepare you fair when entering the tomb.
So fret not ye, you lonely heart, who looks up to the stars, Searching for the very gods that promised to be ours. They are in every sunny day, they're in both dark and light, The Netjeru are there for you, and never leave your side.
