        she’s unable to prevent a chuckle at the visual of his father running along the lawn, being chased by the very bird occupying it. she thinks harry and ron would enjoy it too       she couldn’t tell them of course, they’d lose their minds if they found out she wasn’t on holiday with her parents. her eyes look over to him just in time to see the slight upturn of his lips. her heart warms at the sight. ‘ i can see why. ’

         pale cheeks color to a rosy pink when his hand finds her lower back, hand twitching in desire to mimic the gesture. her expression twists in confusion upon the mention of the species that he favors, mind filtering through her memories to try to remember. it falls short though and it fills her with a slight annoyance that he knows something she does not. ‘ what exactly is a crup? ’
