It’s a day like any other firing out an endless stream of tweets and messages to all your followers and friends, keeping them informed of your every move. It can be easy to forget that these are not the same as the little chats that you have with your best buds while eating lunch in the cafe. The best time to share your deepest, darkest secrets about who’s cool or hot and how much you hate those crusty sweet potato fries. Facebook, Twitter or Snapchat, it doesn’t matter which social media is your preference, the point is all the same. Before you say anything online, ask yourself “Is this something I would want everyone to read?” I mean EVERYONE! Not just your cronies, but your parents, your teachers, grandma and grandpa, the President or the Pope himself. Using social media is so easy that you can quickly forget that what you say online can and usually does go to many more people than you know. A girl from Miami Florida just learned that the hard way. Her Dad was going to recieve $80,000 from his prior employer to settle a disagreement on why he could no longer work with them. After hearing about it from her father, she went right on to Facebook to tell all her “friends”. What she didn’t know was that part of the $80,000 deal was that nobody else was told about the agreement and it didn’t take long for the comment that she posted to get right back to her Dad’s employer. That quick little post that she fired out there like a cool cafe chat came right back to bite her and her family. Fighting breaks out in the country Ukraine

Did you ever notice when a fight breaks out on the schoolyard, the same old thing happens every time?

Everyone comes running over to see what’s up yelling “Fight!! Fight!!” Some run for the teachers to help bring a stop to it before someone gets hurt, while others jump right in to help protect their friends.

Believe it or not, the same thing happens all over the world except the reasons are more important and people get hurt much worse.

Right now there is a fight going on in the country, Ukraine. Do you know where that country is? Check it out:

So just like the schoolyard fight, all the other countries are all yelling “Fight! Fight!!” Some countries are trying help stop the fighting before people get hurt, while other countries are jumping in to help protect their friends.

In the schoolyard fight, the teacher usually digs in and peels the kids apart asking “All right, all right, what happened?” Immediately getting the same response shot back from both sides "He started it first!" But after everyone chills out, we find out the real deal which ends up being something as silly as a bad "Your Momma" joke. A few bumps and bruises with an embarrassing trip to the principal's office and we are all good to go.

But not so when the fighting is between or within countries! The reasons why they are fighting can be complicated and hard to understand for people who are not living there every day. Most importantly, it's not about bumps and bruises. In these fights people loose their lives. The fight in the Ukraine didn't happen overnight and for a single simple reason. There were many things that happened over a number of years which made people more and more angry. Ten years ago, it was found that their president cheated to get the votes needed to win. Then in November of last year, the president decided to not take actions that could help their country become closer friends with the countries in Europe, which many people wanted. Instead, he took actions to become closer friends with the country of Russia, which many people did not want. When many people disagree with what their president does, they all get together and basically yell out loud about what they're not happy about. The more people that get together, the more attention they get. AKA "Protest". It's basically the same as when your mom preached "Use your words not your hands". Well in the Ukraine, 800,000 people got together to "use their words". The problem with a protest is that when you have two groups of people yelling at each other about what they each disagree about, after a while people start getting angry with each other which leads to more hands, less words and people getting hurt. People are getting hurt right now in Ukraine and just like the schoolyard fights, other countries are coming in to help their friends, but each side has their friends. Let's just hope that there are some countries that can be that teacher and peel everyone apart and let them chill out and help them use their words before even more people get hurt. http://www.mapsofworld.com/ukraine/ukraine-location-map.html

*NOW THAT’S SOME OLD CHEESE*

Many of you may have thought you found the oldest cheese in the world from what you discovered between your Grand Mommy’s toes, but that’s nothing compared to what they found on the necks and chests of the Grand Mummies in China who were buried way back in 1615 BC. That means that mummie chest cheese was over 3600 years old! Makes you wonder why they decided to pack cheese for their trip to “the other side” and where they planned to get the crackers.
