Featuring Jedi Master Dooku, Jedi Master Yaddle, Jedi Master Jocasta Nu, Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn and Darth Sidious from Season 1 episode 4 "Tales of the Jedi" titled "The Sith Lord".
Master Dooku using the credentials of Master Sifo-Dyas accesses the data regarding the planet Kamino. Dooku then proceeds to delete the location of Kamino, and he then deletes the Kamino archive data. Having succeeded in this deed Dooku departs the archives and encounters Jocasta Nu, librarian of the Jedi archives at the temple. (Jocasta Nu | Wookieepedia | Fandom) Dooku notices higher than normal activity at the temple and asks Master Nu what all the excitement is about. Jocasta then tells Dooku that Qui-Gon-Jinn, Dooku's apprentice, has just testified to the council with an alarming assertion that he has encountered a Sith Lord on Tatooine.
Master Qui Gon Jinn, walking with Master Yaddle, notices the higher than usual gathering in the temple and realizes that word has gotten out about his encounter. Master Yaddle relates that his statement was "rather surprising" to the council. Master Dooku forgoes the traditional greeting and requests that Qui Gon Jinn recount what he has told the council regarding "this mysterious attacker on Tatooine". Qui Gon repeats to Dooku that he "encountered a highly skilled warrior, one obviously trained in the Jedi arts". As they discuss his testimony Dooku correctly postulates that the council was not pleased about his testimony to which Qui Gon concurs. Frustrated that the council has ignored their warnings for years, Dooku vents this bitterness towards the council in the presence of Master Yaddle and Master Qui Gon. Yaddle in an attempt to deescalate the anger seemingly coming from Dooku tells the Jedis that at this point "there is no reason to cause undue alarm". To which Dooku accuses Yaddle of doubting his padawan's claim. Yaddle, recognizing that Dooku is not in a mood to be forgiving towards the council tells Dooku that the Council "is to be cautious until we know more." They depart as Dooku warns Qui Gon to take care, but Qui Gon assures him that his padawan Obi Wan Kenobi is coming along well and will be with him if they should encounter the Sith Lord again.
We find Dooku in front of an ancient tree in Coruscant as he reminisces about his late padawan Qui Gon Jinn. Yaddle encounters Dooku at the tree and his bitterness towards the Council is palpable and it is obvious that he blames the Council for Qui Gon's demise. Dooku departs and is unknowingly followed by Master Yaddle.
Dooku meets with Darth Sidious and accuses Sidious of allowing Darth Maul to kill Qui Gon Jinn. Sidious tells Dooku that he also lost an apprentice and that others will fall if his plan is to succeed. Dooku bemoans to Sidious that Qui Gon could have been an ally, but Sidious is not convinced. Dooku then accuses Sidious of questioning his loyalty. "Always" is Sidious' immediate answer. Sidious reminds Dooku that he will continue to ask Dooku to provide him with assistance for their cause. To this Dooku bemoans all the treasonous deeds he has done for Sidious, "Sifo-Dyas, Kamino, the Clones" all triggered by the actions of Dooku for their cause, to which Sidious tells him again that he will need more from him in the future. Dooku realizes that he is on a path that will cause the lives of countless others, all in the name of Sidious and their cause. Cynically Sidious states to Dooku, "such is the price of freedom". To this Master Yaddle announces her presence.
"So, I have been betrayed?" states Sidious to Dooku. Dooku replies with an emphatic "NO!". Master Yaddle recognizing the depth of her predicament pleads with Dooku to join her and help her against Sidious. Master Yaddle attempts to convince Dooku, reminding him that he is still a Jedi and that he can still fight on the right side of the coming battle. As Dooku realizes that Master Yaddle has heard all the incriminating evidence against him Dooku is faced with an impossible choice. With Sidious in his ear, he reminds Dooku of his frustrations with the ineffectiveness of the Council and the Senate. It is then that Dooku, with Sidious imploring him to kill Master Yaddle, realizes that there is no turning back and he has no choice but to strike down Master Yaddle. With this realization Dooku grabs his light saber and prepares to dispatch Master Yaddle.
Master Yaddle, taken aback by this seemingly impossible scene unfolding before her very eyes is almost paralyzed with shock. Dooku charges her and at the very last moment Yaddle seizes her light saber and enters the duel with the now former Master Jedi Dooku. It quickly becomes apparent that although Master Yaddle is highly skilled in the fighting arts with a light saber, she no longer has the energy nor the strength to maintain a pitched battle for an extended length of time. Witness to this battle, Darth Sidious remains silent as the two former allies battle for their lives. Recognizing the peril in which she finds herself, Master Yaddle seeks to conceal herself while she implores Dooku to end this fight, even telling him that she has resigned from the Council, and she acknowledges the responsibility of the Council for Qui Gon Jinn's death. But it is too late, Dooku reveals Master Yaddle's place of concealment and continues the battle as Master Yaddle continues to slowly succumb to fatigue. Master Yaddle eyes her ship and struggles to find a way to get there before she relents to the superior strength and youth of Dooku, but he is relentless and as she makes her last stand against her foe she is struck with a fearsome blow. As she falls, he uses the force to crash the port door on top of Master Yaddle, seemingly crushing her. Darth Sidious congratulates Dooku on his victory and tells him to " rise my friend". Dooku finally surrendering to the Dark Force replies with the simple but powerful response "master".
Dooku, at the sound of metal straining, quickly turns to see Master Yaddle, with the last vestiges of her strength, astoundingly lifting up the port door. Alas the strain is too much, and Master Yaddle collapses on the floor. Dooku slowly glides to the fallen Master and proclaims his desire to bring "peace and order to the galaxy". Master Yaddle exhaustingly responds with her final words," already so many have suffered for what you call order". Dooku, with his light saber, then ruthlessly and without hesitation or remorse ends the life of Master Yaddle. Darth Sidious, with an almost imperceptible smirk prepares for the next phase of his plan.
