Never
~Continued from here @prxsperitatis~
“I’ll never answer those.”
Takumi shook uncontrollably, knees pulled up tight to his chest and held there by his arms wrapped snugly around them. He didn’t want Rei to see him like this, to see how afraid he was that he wasn’t this type of god either. Takumi didn’t even hear Maemi call for him or come closer until she was right there, hand on his shoulder, and he felt small and tiny in his ball in the corner.
“I’m-”
He couldn’t tell her. Maemi knew him as the god of dance, and he didn’t want her to know him any other way. But he couldn’t exactly lie and say he was fine, that would be total bullshit. So before Takumi could break anymore, he let the choking half-truth spill.
“What if I disappear? I don’t answer as many prayers as I used to. I don’t get as many. What’ll happen to me next time I reincarnate? It’s going to happen.“
Emotional Starters: Fear
"Oh, God... please, no..."
"This isn't happening... this isn't happening...!!"
"Help! Somebody, help me!"
"The screaming... it's so loud..."
"P-Please, just... put that down, and we can talk, okay?"
"You're not acting like yourself. I'm scared."
"Why is it so dark? I don't like it..."
"N-No, idiot! Of course I'm not afraid..."
"So much blood... there's... so much..."
"Please. Help me. I can't do this alone."
"I-I-I c-can't s-stop sh-shaking..."
"Was... Was that a wolf howl just now?!"
"Did you hear that? It sounds like it came from the attic..."
"Why are we doing this? I don't want to do this..."
"Don't go there! It's not safe."
"It's just a bad dream... just a bad dream."
"I don't know what to do. Tell me... what should I do?"
"What's happening to you/me?"

Nozomikii Followed You
Takumi knew he was being followed, he just didn’t know why, but he was honestly pretty uncomfortable with it. Still, he waited to turn around until he’d reached a fairly empty area, all sorts of possibilities running through his head. Was this someone come to speak to the god of calamity he used to be? Was this someone he’d met in a previous incarnation? Takumi prayed not.
“Hello? Do I know you?”
I made Rei in a dance costume using this game, and it came out really pretty. You know, I think it would be interesting if Rei was a seamstress and made all of her and Takumi’s dance costumes.
“Well, I’m sure that you guys can do it!” Rei encouraged, clapping her hands together as she grinned. Noticing finally that Yukine seemed a bit uncomfortable, she scratched her chin shyly as she apologized. “Sorry about the rambling. I don’t get to talk to other regalias often, and I’ve been told I speak too fast when I get excited.” Rei made the effort to stop talking, giving Yukine a proper chance to respond despite wanting to ramble an apology about her rambling.
The blond felt his shoulders tense at the sudden sound when she clapped her hands together, fought the urge to take a step back. He wasn’t sure why, but she made him feel exhausted.
“You don’t have to apologize.” Yukine pushed a smile onto his face, the one he reserved for customers, the one he used to ease their worries. “I get where you’re coming from, sometimes it’s nice talking to another shinki.” He looked off to the side, not really sure what to say next.
This really was an awkward meeting.
“Do you live in the area?” Yukine asked after a brief pause, thought it would be a bit weird if she did and they’d never met, considering he was rather all over the place with Yato’s flyers trying to get work.
Rei smiled in relief, then took a deep breath to try and calm herself some more. She didn’t mean to be so exhausting to speak to and be around, it just happened naturally. She didn’t know what to say, and was grateful that despite the awkwardness Yukine was still trying to keep the conversation going.
“No, my master and I live elsewhere, and we don’t usually come over here. Supposedly though, there used to be a shrine for him in the area, so he’s looking for that...also, he needs some time to himself.” Her smile weakened somewhat, concern for the god apparent as she bit the inside of her lip. It had been a bad day for him, and Rei understood Takumi’s need for some solitude. But she attempted to cover it up a moment later by fiddling with her hair as she admitted “I don’t think we’ll find the shrine here though. If it was here, it was a good hundred years ago.”
~| ✿ |~ {Maemi inched closer to him, slowly, until she was near enough to snatch her towel away. A hasty retreat backwards, then she secured it firmly around herself, grateful for that much cover, at least.}
“Stay here…?”
‘Say no, Maemi. Say no. Say no!’
“—-Fine. Just stay on your side of the spring, alright?”
~| ✿ |~ {Why? Why didn’t she demand that he leave? Maemi’s arms lifted to cross over her chest as she sank back into the water, confused by her own decision. But, she didn’t dwell on it too long, deciding to question him, instead.}
“I thought you were… you know, in a hurry to get out of here?”
“I had 5 people stomp on my feet today, and I was the unfortunate landing pad for three people who don’t know how to do lifts.”
It was probably the first time Takumi had ever gotten grumpy with Maemi. Usually, he either was fairly quiet or he was talking because he was cheerful. But today, Takumi was showing his less-than favorable side as he rubbed his shoulder with a groan, eyes closed as pain twinged across his face.
“Damn, might have pulled a muscle also. Hope the water helps.”
Tell me (anon or otherwise) what you want to see me do with my character in 2016.
I’m curious what you (the external readers/fellow RPers) wish I would do more of.
Send me “No, no, no, don’t die on me!” for a scenario in which my muse dies protecting yours.

~| ✿ |~ {WELL!}
~| ✿ |~ {As he fell in, the goddess scrambled to get out. All while trying to maintain at least a little modesty… Very difficult to do while screeching and flailing toward the opposite shore in a mortified panic. It took a moment for her to reach the other side of the spring… still submerged up to her chin in steamy water, entire face blazing a bright scarlet. She paused to take a breath and, in a very soft and squeaky voice, addressed the other deity.}
“Th-throw me my towel… please. But, don’t look!”
Takumi was sputtering as he brought himself back to the surface, grumbling in frustration at this. He was sore, tired, and now a blushing mess that had seen one of his best friends naked; why now of all times?
“How am I supposed to give you your towel if I don’t look!?”
He snapped, groping the nearby shore to find Maemi’s towel. Reaching his long arm across the far too short a distance, Takumi took a deep breath as he pointedly looked in the other direction.
“Sorry, I just, um, this situation is pretty, er...can I just stay here?”

~| Send me O_O for my muse’s reaction to yours seeing them naked |~ yeeesss join me in this sin… this long sin im sorry i got carried away
~| ✿ |~ {A warm bath was just what the goddess needed after a long day of slaying phantoms and granting wishes. These springs were …. perfect! Leaving a trail of fabric behind, Maemi sank into the water and breathed a deep, relaxed sigh. —Until the sound of footsteps echoed around her. Without a moment of consideration, she leaped up in alarm, gaze quickly searching out the source of the sound.}
“—Takumi?”
~| ✿ |~ {A moment of silence of silence, then, 3…2…1… The goddess shrieked and slapped her hands over herself, deep, deep blush beginning to burn in her cheeks.}
“Takumi! Close your eyes! CLOSE YOUR EYES!”
Even a god of dance like himself could get tired after a long day of, well, dancing. So when he found the springs, Takumi breathed a sigh of relief and started kicking off his shoes and taking off his workout shirt. He was busy enough with disrobing that he didn’t realize someone was already there until there was Maemi right in front of him.
3...2...1...
“Uh, um, I ah, eh-”
The former god of calamity was a stuttering mess, blushing bright red as he snatched up his pants to cover himself and closed his eyes.
“Y-you close your eyes! Um, I’ll just, um SHIT-”
That was the sound of Takumi gracefully falling into the springs in a panicked attempt to flee the situation.
Rei grinned and clapped her hands together in excitement before pulling the collar of her jacket away from her neck just enough to show the top of her name. “So am I! Ah, well, you would have already guessed that I’m sure. My name is Rei!” Not having had to deal with anything like the Bishamon situation in her three years as a shinki, Rei didn’t really feel apprehension about giving her name out, though she did keep her other name hidden from prying eyes. Well, that wasn’t true; if it was a spirit that had any blight whatsoever, shinki or not, then no names were given. But that was to protect herself from her master’s previous shinki.
Proud of her master, Rei’s cherry-wood eyes lit up as she bragged “You may have heard of my master! He is the great god of dance, Takumi!” Her bright grin dulled a little, the older regalia rubbing her neck as she admitted “Actually, you probably wouldn’t know him unless you were a few centuries old. He was pretty big a while ago, and he’s had some…unique…issues.” What Rei didn’t know was that the issues really weren’t that unique. She perked up quick through, smiling down at the blond. “But what about you? If you don’t mind of course.”
Yukine felt a bit bombarded with the whole moment. He opened his mouth to reply to the girl only for her to go on talking. It wasn’t until there was a minute of silence did he realize she was waiting for an actual response. “Oh um - no sorry, can’t say I have heard of him…” The blond looked over Rei’s neck, felt a bit like he was viewing something private when she flashed her name. “But I haven’t been a shinki for that long, so I wouldn’t know…” He trailed off with a slightly nervous laugh, still a bit uncomfortable with the whole scenario.
“My god’s a bit…” Yukine wondered where Yato was at that moment and if he could feel his nervous discomfort. “He’s trying to make a name for himself… so he’s rather unknown.”

At the moment, Takumi was pleased with himself, the god with the appearance of a 20-year-old humming to himself an enka song and mentally going over the moves of the dance to go along with it. He’d handled a few wishes today, something that always put the man in a good mood. Especially when they involved blessing someone’s dance recital, which he was actually meant for. Even if they forgot him in a few weeks, at least Takumi knew that his word was getting out for dance, not death!
But in the midst of his joy, despite the relative emptiness of the park he was cutting through to get to his shrine, Takumi ignored his surroundings and walked right into a boy with bright blonde hair. “Oh, sorry! I was off in my own little world there for a moment.”
It was getting to be a bit late, the sun was setting and casting an orange glow across the city. Yukine had called Kofuku’s house not long ago, had told her that he would be heading back now and to inform Yato so that he wouldn’t worry. The teen’s stomach twisted angrily as he turned the corner and headed into the park, was intending to cut through so as to save time. He really disliked being out when the sun was setting by himself.
A few yards later and his stomach twisted again. Yukine frowned and placed his hand over his gut, looked down at his feet. His mind was focused on food and the prospect of what Daikoku had made for dinner when he rounded the corner.
And walked right into someone much taller.
Yukine stumbled back and stared up at the taller male, hesitant to speak just in case the other didn’t actually see him.
Takumi tilted his head to the side slightly at Yukine’s stare before uncomfortably looking at the setting sun as he scratched at the base of his ponytail.
“Geez, I know I’ve got longer hair than most guys, but no need to stare like that. Oh, or is it that you’re not used to being seen?”
The stare reminded him of his own regalia, the young woman still uncomfortable when she had to deal with humans when she wasn’t expecting it.
What song do you think fits my muse?
Bonus points for an explanation!
