❝ It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I bring you a musical short film a wonderful production team and I spent some time working on. This film incorporates my music as a new artist and is based around true events. I sat down with script writers, a camera crew, set designers, stylists, directors— the list goes on. I want to thank the YMCMB Crew as a whole, Dr. Dre and Jessie Ware for turning one of the millions of thoughts I have each day into a wonderful reality. I also want to give two very special thanks to my camera eye candies Willy Monfret and actor Boris Kodjoe. It’s coming soon and I hope you enjoy it. ❞

❝ As many of you may or may not know, as of late I’ve been working on an album. An album that I’ve been pouring my heart out on and putting my soul into. When I was a child, I was in and out of adoptive families and three foster homes but the thing that managed to keep me together piece by piece was my love for music, rap music to be more specific. No, I did not chase after my dreams of being a female rapper because I felt as though women didn’t have respect in rap music? Have you heard some of the shit these guys are saying about women in these songs? None the less, I made the decision to make a man respect women in rap. I want to create a space in this genre where women can express themselves and feel liberated in such a male dominated career field. It seems a bit strange that a female, let alone an actress would break into music and not the other way around but I have a passion and I’m pursuing it as Cartier, my middle name. Acting will always be a love of mine and that stops for nothing. I just want to try my hand at music. I always have. I bring to you my very first single off of my EP. ❞

❝ Americans are glued to their television sets every Saturday night to catch an episode of SNL. This one is much different. This one is promised to be the best episode of the show we have ever seen so our expectations are at an all time high as Rhea King is preparing and rehearsing to give us what we’re anticipating to receive. There’s been talk that our children shouldn’t watch tonight because of strong adult themes in some of the skits but these rumors can’t be confirmed. Just have little Johnny’s favorite cartoon on speed dial just in case we find out that this is true. ❞— Entertainment Weekly
